This round up the nite perfectly! The cake was so soft & moist & the flowy chocolate lava was yummy & not too sweet. Ice cream to go along with this dessert is heaven 😇

Wings were fried indeed extremely crispy but I find it too dry & can't really taste the 'yogurt' 😜

Smell so great & inviting! So crispy on the outside yet soft & moist in the inside. That's how a yummy Spanish Fried Potatoes should taste like 👍🏻

Weekday 1-for-1 mains deal at Milagro Spanish Restaurant, Orchard Central. This melted in the mouth braised beef cheek is simply amazing. Simply book via @hungrygowhere website, app or phone concierge (6884 6884) to enjoy the deal.

Lots of aromatic flavour in their perfectly caramelized rice absorbed from their saffron & spices. Even for a mini, portion was incredibly generous to share between 2.

There is even a National Spanish Paella Day On 27 March! My favourite part is definitely the scrapping of the pan for those crunchy bits!
Right now, Milagro is having a menu special for 4 pax at $60, comprising of: Paella Valencia, San Jacobos (Breaded Friend ham & cheese) and Patatas Bravas (Fried Potatoes with Aioli) till the end of this month! 💕

Essentially your standard crème brûlée but with sassy unwashed blonde hair, being inappropriately high on sangria (and Grand Marnier, of course) and warbling lines such as "lucky that my breasts are small and humble so you don't confuse them with mountains". 3.7/5

This was a hosted meal, courtesy of Milagro Spanish Restaurant and Come Let's Eat, a PR campaign by four NTU undergraduates which seeks to promote a deeper understanding between foreigners and Singaporeans through an exchange of food cultures. We were seated with a most gregarious and vivacious Spanish host from the Canary Islands, and over traditional Spanish cuisine such as Patatas Bravas and Paella Valenciana we learnt from her how a typical Spanish adult might end work by 2pm, have a siesta til evening, dinner at 11pm followed by dropping it down low and feeling so fly like at G6 at da klubs and pubs until 4am. Wistful sigh. (Pro tip: Binomio is supposedly the most authentic Spanish joint in town according to her, so that's one restaurant to check off my list!)

Other than the perfectly cooked texture, they even removed the shell!!! Simple to eat and addictive flavors. Who can say nooooo!

Savory Jamôn for seasoning was perfect. But instead of regular basil leaf, they used spinach. It didn't affect the taste dramatically.
FYI: one baguette costed me S$5 each!!! Light day robbery!

Possibly not. Didn't like the greasy bread crumb clothing.

Baked or deep fried potato wedges and served with the chilli mayo on the side.
Side note: must eat it with beer.

Featured above we have the Paella Valenciana ($38-$47, see below for menu special), named after the city Valencia, the huge sharing pan consists of saffron rice with chicken & beans. Didn't know scraping off delicious burnt rice can be so satisfying.
What makes this cuisine interesting is how they're centered one one premise - Spanish cooking makes the the best tasting food out of its local produce, therefore the paella you get varies from regions to regions. But besides having a vast array of rice dishes there’s also the tapas. Spaniards normally have their dinner late at around 9pm after work, & it's an essential social culture that they 'tapear' from bar to bar sharing different tapas with a group of friends. & To me it's like the advanced art of snacking & sharing that makes everything so enjoyable.

Overall, one can expect the cuisine’s explosive flavours to always hit the spot – the building blocks of their flavours are olives, paprika, saffron & more – & those combination can really give a different channel to your tastebuds.
Though more than the food, sometimes it’s also the experience & the people as well, this #ComeLetsEat session was a pretty interactive & fulfilling one. & I've had a great time through this short gastronomic journey to Spain with some new friends. Great thanks to @comeletseat team again for the great FYP! Will try to make time for the global potluck 😊

💥 Featuring Crema Catalana from @restaurantmilagro , which is similar to its French equivalent, crème brûlée. Seriously, the flambé stole the limelight of the evening. 😏

It was really interesting to know that this was a final year project called #ComeLetsEat which was organised by 4 NTU WKW Students. Prior to the event, I knew very little about Spanish culture (besides Paella...) & through the interactions with our Spanish friends, I have learnt so much from them about the Spanish culture & cuisine. What a fruitful evening spent! 😊

Many thanks to the team of @comeletseat and all the best for your FYP! 💪🏼 & to @blancheeze for inviting me along to take part in this meaningful event! ☺️

Milagro's version is fluffy, moist and served with tender chicken thigh. Decent Spanish food found in the heart of town.

The perfect way to try all three cold soups at Milagro is to have them in shot-sized portions. My favourite out of the lot was the Andalusian Gazpacho(pictured in the forefront) with its smooth, bold, slightly smoky flavour, bursting with tomato and capsicum goodness. The Ajo Blanco, made from almonds, garlic, extra virgin olive oil & sherry vinegar, fared rather well as well. I enjoyed its rich creaminess. While still palatable, I felt the Melon Gazpacho suffered slightly from a watery consistency, and the jamón serrano imparted an odd oily taste to the soup.

Lots of aromatic flavour in their perfectly caramelized rice absorbed from their saffron & spices. Even for a mini, portion was incredibly generous to share between 2. Underrated place serving pretty affordable Spanish fare considering their prices are Nett. Can't wait to return to enjoy their weekday lunch promotions.

Typical Singaporean, my mother commented it looks like claypot rice. 😑
Sorry SG, I prefer this to claypot rice though. 👍
If you're in the mood to try out some Spanish food, just know that there is one beside 49 seats, and does not charge GST & service tax!
