We started off the meal with a glass of sangria red and sangria cava. We found the former quite light and not too dry (the way we like it) and had a lovely sweetness from the fruits. The sangria cava was a spanish sparkling wine which was bright and refreshing. We would definitely recommend getting a jug (or two!) to share at the table.
Starting off with a classic, this was as good as we remembered it! The large prawns were sweet and juicy, with the garlic and olive oil offering a nice aroma. You should definitely soak up the oil with the bread and prawns for a satisfying bite.
This tapas featured two luxurious pieces of roasted beef bone marrow. The marrow was so creamy and sinful - its rich umami flavours were really out of this world, especially when paired with the warm sourdough!
We’re still thinking about this dish till this day, we’ve never had octopus done as well as MLSP’s before! The grilled octopus was so tender and not rubbery at all, basically cooked to perfection. The potato puree deserves special mention for its skillful infusion of saffron. Coloured yellow by this delicate and luxurious spice, the puree was smooth and buttery, and had a beautiful fragrance, we couldn’t stop eating it.
This special cut of acorn-fed iberico pork was exquisite. As a breed that can be served medium-rare, the meat had a soft and velvety texture and was not over-seasoned, respecting and showcasing the original taste of iberico pork. This was paired with fried shaved potato and piquillo peppers which added a nice heat.
Now this was a rolls-royce dish, consisting of squid-ink rice cooked with prawns and baby squid topped with dollops of alioli. The rice was flavourful and delicious, and yes, had the unmistakable aroma from the seafood broth. This was an interesting twist from the usual Paella de La Casa!
Churros, made from choux pastry dough fried in hot oil, are an iconic spanish dessert. The churros were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and not too greasy, which went perfectly with the chocolate and ice cream!
Chef Edward shared that he personally makes the basque cheesecake and we were blown away by how it was so light and creamy. The raspberry couli was bright, refreshing, and paired excellently with the cheesecake. Their desserts are executed very well!
MLSP is known not only for their wide array of tapas, but also their superb paella. Tucked into a humble shophouse along Bukit Timah Road, the interior of the restaurant was rustic and charming - an ambience perfect for dinner.
This featured fresh prawns cooked in olive oil and their secret sauce. The prawns were juicy and paired perfectly with the house bread, but got a bit greasy towards the end.
While this was a simple egg omelette with potatoes and onions, the dish was heartwarming and delightful. The outer layer was slightly crispy and the omelette was creamy, we really liked this a lot.
The ham-stuffed and codfish croquettes were two separate items on the menu, but there was an option to have a mix of both! The croquettes were particularly creamy, and both flavours were enjoyable.
This was the star of the show. The paella took about 30 mins to arrive (as mentioned in the menu) as it was made to order in the kitchen. The paella was bursting with savoury sweetness from the seafood broth and the medley of flavours from fresh squid, fish, black mussels, chicken, and chorizo. The portions of seafood were substantial too. We must commend the generous use of saffron in the paella - this brought a traditional yellow hue and unmistakable fragrance to the rice. We kid you not that the pan was scraped clean!
Went for a birthday celebration, was filled to the brim with all the food ordered. The gambas was magnificent!

The craving of paella, become one of the reasons me and my family visit My Little Spanish Place.
I ordered Paella De La CASA.
Paella cooked in seafood broth, served with sofrito, prawns, squid, fish, black mussels, chicken and chorizo. It's tasty, the seafood was fresh and love the thin layer caramelised rice on the bottom.

The food was yummy and I would return to try more things in the future 😋
Here’s what we had:
Tapas:
• Tortilla de Patata (Spanish egg omelette with potatoes)
• Gambas Al Ajillo (shrimp cooked in olive oil with garlic and chilli pepper)
Mains:
• Secreto Iberico (seared Iberian secret pork served with peppers, crispy shaved potatoes and romesco sauce)
Desserts:
• Tarta de chocolate
• Churros con chocolate
• Tarta de almendras (flourless almond and pistachio cake with ice cream)
This is grilled octopus leg with red pepper and saffron potato purées. The octopus is from Spain and it was chewy too.
The chocolate tart comes with strawberries and strawberry sauce! It’s very rich, the strawberries were a good balance for this.
The churros was pretty good too, crispy outside and dense inside. They come with have a tub of caramel, chocolate and ice cream as well. The caramel’s especially fragrant too 😋
