the baguette was crispy and well toasted. the lemongrass chicken was very flavourful and tasty, and went together very well with the crunchy and fresh vegetables. no MSG is added!

Ordered the Chicken Pho (S$9), Pomelo Salad (S$8.90), Fresh Southern Rolls (S$5.90), Chili-lemongrass chicken Banh Mi (S$7.50) and a Lychee-pandan iced tea (S5.90) to wash it all down! 💦 Find Vietnamese food in general so so refreshing, possessing a deliciously sweet taste unique to their cuisine! 🤗

The pho was comforting, like a bowl of piping hot chicken soup on a rainy day, and the pomelo salad had such a vibrant blend of flavours and textures ranging from the juicy pomelo to the mildly spicy chicken and herbs within, paired with the satisfying crunch of fish crackers! Also really enjoyed the Chili-lemongrass Banh Mi, whereby almost everything from the filling to the bread was so well done! 👏🏼 Unfortunately, was slightly disappointed with the Fresh Southern Rolls, as the rice paper skin was way too tough to gnaw through! 😔 Nevertheless, the peanut sauce that came with it was so amazing I even found myself dipping parts of the Banh Mi into it 🤷🏻‍♀️ #ieathowiwant
The lychee-pandan iced tea was rather interesting as well, with slices of lemon and lime, pandan and mint leaves as well as sweet lychee! Perfect for those who love really refreshing drinks! 🍃

All in all a really amazing lunch, would not hesitate to go back again if I’m ever missing Vietnam or just craving a filling but non-jelak meal!

Spicy Hue Beef Noodles

PRICE: $10 nett

SERVICE: Thumbs up for the smiley, chirpy local auntie behind the cashier counter

SPECIAL LOVE FOR 💗: The generous amount of beef slices • The flavorful soup

Nothing compares to The Lunch Lady's bowl of Bún bò Huế that we had in HCMC, but this bowl is definitely satisfactory enough

This is one of the commercialised restaurant that I will go back again and again.

Name: Pho Pork Balls

This is a biased post because i don't like pho very much. I want my noodles to be hard core noodles where you just scoop without looking and start slurpping away. I don't like to wade ankle-deep in basil trying to pick them out becuause I also don't like basil.
This is a very biased post.
The soup was really good though. Just light enough to keep you going without wasting stomach space on water. And the pork balls were great.

Name: Dry spicy minced meat pork balls noodle
Priced at: 9.90 SGD

Such a long name, no?
There's nothing really left for me to say except that it's not really dry because there's some sort of soup base at the bottom of the bowl, and that's the part where the spiciness gets intense. Like REAL intense. Like the I-need-ice-cream-now-and-this-is-not-an-excuse-to-eat-ice-cream kind of intense.

The pork balls were really good though.
