It’s been awhile I come to Punggol area, and glad to see there’s a new place to go for meal now at One Punggol.
Just a short walk from Waterway Point, there’s this hawker centre situated at the second level of One Punggol. Managed by Timbre+.
I was looking for something simple for my lunch, so went for this boneless Hainanese chicken rice.
Juicy and soft meat with fragrance rice. Comes with delicious achar.
This set consisted of wonton Mee, fried beancurd skin roll and home made barley. The gravy for the noodles was very good. Savory and tasty. Wontons were their usual famous ones of cos. Beancurd skin roll was good too. Barley tasted very home made and not too sweet. I enjoyed this much more than the curry Mee.
They changed menu! This looked really alluring on the menu, and indeed it was a huge bowl filled with ingredients. I got chicken thigh pcs (with bones) in my bowl. Got eggplant slices, beancurd skin, ngoh Hiang etc. The one thing I didn’t like was that there were cockles inside, which I would have requested to be removed if I had known. The curry gravy was on the salty side.
$7 for a one-person #set with choice of horfun #noodles or #rice, with a personal plate of kampong #chicken and #beansprouts, if you pay by OCBC Pay Anyone. Very hassle free! Pro-tip: ask for more of that #prawn oil to perfume your horfun with unbeatable fragrance! The spring-onion-ginger dip is lovely with the chicken too.

Good portions of chicken and beansprouts for a $9.50 set!
An absolutely fabulous bowl. The soup was robust and rich, so spicy and sour. Got all the Assam notes right. Lovely chewy thick fat noodles. Abundance of sardines but got bones. I still loved it.
A bit expensive for the size but quite tasty.
Cannot choose the yong Tau foo items. I liked the sauce, thick and savory. But the best had got to be the chicken rice. Very fragrant. Mixed with their chili sauce and garlic ginger sauce, it was absolutely delicious. Soup was fabulous too.
