This place here serves Chinese style nasi lemak. You will definitely be spoilt for choices with the amount of dishes you can choose from. Crispy fried chicken wings, stir fried sambal brinjal, savoury otah were the dishes I chose. If only the rice were as fluffy and coconutty as the ones we find in a Malay store, then it would be the perfect combination.

Simple & delicious nasi lemak, with a pack of flavour in each ingredient. A must try is their fried chicken wing and achar.

The rice got a hint of coconut flavour with a solid texture. The chicken wing is crispy on the outside but tender on the inside and their chili is flavourful!

Price start for at least $4-5 per set. It’s definitely worth the visit if you’re in the Marine Parade/Tanjong Katong area.

Believe it or not, this is my first ever proper Ponggol Nasi Lemak. I suppose I've somewhat tasted it before years ago but not a proper meal. And the main reasons that deter me from buying are the long queues and my impression of it being over-priced.

I still think It's expensive ($7.70) but considering that they are generous with the Fried Kuning (4 pcs), and the juicy chicken wing, I think still kinda worth it? The chilli though on the sweet side is actually tasty! You could taste the dried shrimp in it.

As with the Kovan outlet, the queue is long! Occasional indulgence is alright I guess...
