More Reviews of good food at Poulet (Raffles City)

1 January 2023;

Pleasant atmosphere and dining experience. Was seated almost immediately once arrived at the restaurant. Quite pricy for $22.90 for 1/2 chicken with 2 sides. Chicken was good but slightly dry. Thankfully it comes with cranberry sauce which goes so well together! It was a good choice to choose the mashed potato as it was creamy and flavourful. The salad was fresh and light too. Overall, it works well. Well done!

However, my partner was slightly disappointed with the chicken aglio olio as he didn’t know it was crisy bits and expected a few chunks of chicken pieces

Wow, the best milk pudding I had for quite some time.

Was very very surprised by how good this is, its sweet and creamy, tested a little like creame brulee but so so so much better.

Must must must have this.

Roasted Half chicken with creamy mushroom sauce.

This is poulet signature dish. Have been having this since one of poulet's first outlets opened at Bugis+ almost a decade ago.

Chicken is very soft and grilled well, the creamy mushroom sauce is still as good as ever.

The must have dish here at poulet.

got this as part of the set meal and it’s a lott for 1pax!
fries were quite soggy though

chicken was drier than it used to be :( but the mushroom cream is still good!!

Truffle oil, parmesan snow, chopped parsley on a bed of crispy shoestring fries. It was so good that we finished the whole serving.

Amazing French Roast Chicken with tender juicy meat. The cranberry sauce went really well with the chicken as the sweetness enhances the aromatic chicken.

For 2 pax set meal, we can choose 2 appetisers, 2 mains and 2 desserts.
We chose beef meatball and truffle shoestring fries for starters, signature half roast chicken with cranberry sauce and mushroom cream sauce, milk pudding and homemade tiramisu for dessert.
The beef meatballs were Super juicy and easy to chew. The chicken was very well roasted as it’s not dry or tough. The meat came off easily from the bone and went really well with the sauce and personally prefer the cranberry sauce. As for desserts, it helped to end off the meal really nicely.

With a familiar sense of extravagance and a notable place for wonderful casual French dining, Poulet has always been a delightful experience when it comes to good solid French fare. In terms of presentation and flavour, the food at Poulet is remarkably polished for a chain restaurant, serving up their popular roast chicken to satisfied customers all over the tiny little red dot. Albeit an unpopular opinion, their other dishes are a league above their classic rotisserie chicken when it comes to decadence and overall flavour with value-for-money. One of the must-tries at any Poulet restaurant has to be their Truffle Mashed Potato ($6.90++), a luxuriously smooth and creamy mash with a seductive punch of truffle in every bite. I really do mean it when I say that this is one of, if not the best side dish at any restaurant that I’ve tasted, period. Every spoonful is a magnificence, and one is almost never enough. After having tried their Pork Belly on their previous menu numerous times, a visit to the restaurant to sample their new and revamped menu was in order. Their Pan-Fried Salmon ($18.90++) was served quite simply with some sautéed mushrooms, celery, roasted potatoes and a velvety beurre blanc sauce, top with some alfalfa sprouts for a crisp round-off. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable casual French dining experience.

Hello homemade mushroom chardonnay sauce! Go ahead and ask for a second serving without any extra charges.

They no longer serve ice water for free tho. #xiaosad

duck in my salad really quacks my appetite. pairing of orange wedges and smoked duck slices hardly goes wrong. enjoyable nevertheless. the ever popular brined chicken on the other hand, was slightly too salty compare to the last time i had them.

Haven't had this in a long while, the chicken was well marinated & sauce was just as good, just that the chicken was a tad too dry..

What my friends call baby food. Nice & creamy with a distinct truffle flavour, if only it were less finely mashed.

The chicken was well-roasted, tender meat but the sauce was too creamy.

roasted #chicken is marinated with a special brine that makes it tender to the bite.

Today I finally did something I've been wanting to do for the past 6 months. That feeling though, as if you've let someone close to you down is dreadful- but at the same time I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Ending off the long day with dinner with the best company I could ever ask for at #poulet tonight. ❤️ onwards and upwards!
