The benefit of being small is to have them crispier at the sides while remaining light and fluffy, a nice sweet treat. We went with the basic option that comes with butter and a choice of sweet sauce that complements the slightly salty butter. We chose maple and strawberry jam and enjoyed both options

✨ I knew I had to get a börek upon being hit by wafts of fragrant pastry and the sight of passers-by delightfully sinking their teeth into the white packages of deliciousness. I sure didn't make a mistake by trusting my foodie intuition (and internet recommendations 😅). These Turkish pastries were incredibly crisp, flaky and comforting. Apart from the two pictured, a wide assortment of differently filled böreks was also available. Among the two I tried, I prefer the spinach börek for its crisper shell and addictive cheese filling.
💬 Make sure to enjoy the guys while their still warm and fresh-- they get a tad soggy when cold.

Saw the snaking (but fortunately, fast moving) line at this stall and almost everyone I passed by had this in their hands, so I wanted to try one for myself. I jumped to the end of the queue even though I had lunch plans, because time and tide wait for no stomach.
It was my first time trying a borek, but sadly I didn't quite enjoy this one. Very doughy, and had minimal meat filling. Well at this price, I really can't complain much. It did remind me of eating a pizza though!
These beautiful looking macarons work out to be about $2.60 each. From the top row left to right, we have: Crème Brûlée, Rainbow Bubble Gum, Pistachio, Strawberries & Cream, Belgian Chocolate. Of all, the Crème Brûlée was the most tasty, with strawberry and chocolate falling behind. The bubblegum was a little too sweet and candy-ish for my liking, and the pistachio tasted like cough mixture... The macarons here felt a bit like a hit and miss, but I guess I can't really blame them as it is a family business, which means that all these are homemade. The size of these macarons are huge though, about 1.5 to 2 times bigger and thicker compared to one by Laduree. As with all macarons, consume them fast if not the texture will change according to the surrounding climate, not for the better.

The famous bratwurst shop in Melbourne. Join the Q and get the oversized sausage. I had the mild original wrap in bread roll and sauerkraut. U may opt for pickles too. $6 for naked while $7 for with a bread roll accompanied and $8 for other range of sausage: spicy, white pork etc..
Unctuous cuts of roast pork under a blistered shard of crisped-up skin, with gravy, mustard, ketchup and a side of fries. Mmm mmmmm.

Hard to choose just one or two things to eat at the Queen Victoria Market when there’s a never-ending myriad of food stalls – all fronted by glass windows filled with tempting displays.
After circling the food court a couple of times, baby Dutch pancakes it is for me! These bite-sized pillows are so easy to wolf down, and made even tastier with that large helping of custard and mixed berries coulis.
