Diners can enjoy Luke's signature dishes in the main dining area during lunch and dinner, as well as at the wine bar which offers all-day dining options. a thick cut of steak that was hearty and juicy. no doubt a satisfying, quality steak which one would expect, though not mind-blowing. had it medium rare, which was just nice for a tender and juicy steak. the potatoes and greens accompanied the meat well.

note: think this was part of the august’19 lunch menu!

this was honestly really delicious, the raw beef was soft and tender without the often off-putting taste of raw meat. the yolk really pulled the dish together here—the quality, cured free range yolk was bursting with flavour and coated the beef well in a silky sauce. finally, the puffed rice and strips of nori lent a nice light crunch to the dish which complemented the beef well. honestly so incredibly good :’)

note: i believe this was part of the lunch menu launched august’19! they still serve the tartare, but change up the toppings i believe. salt grill remains one of my favourite restaurants, with top-notch food and an incredible view to boot, really hope it stays open 😌😌

Passionfruit sorbet (sorbet of the day for set lunch $49++)

Sorbet was refreshing and was a good balance of sweet and sour. Went well with berries.

Margaret river angus ribeye (mains for $49++ set lunch)

Comes with salsa Verde, roasted kipfler, garlic cream and tendrils. Ribeye 180g was substantial for a female but may be small for a hungry man. Had it medium rare and it was very juicy and yummy.

Geraldton kingfish (starters for a $49++ set lunch)

Comes with Yarra Valley Salmon Pearls, avocado cream and herb oil. Simple, pretty and tasty.

Wagyu tatare (starters for $49++ set lunch)

Mixed with kimchi, confit yolk, nori and comes with toasted brioche. Was yummy though thought the tatare could be slightly saltier.
