4⭐ Managed to book the 50% slot again so here we are. We ordered 3 flavour of galmaegisal this round as we just wanted to eat this cut. I have not seen other Korean BBQ selling this cut in SG so far. We love this cut bcos it's lean and yet tender. Bill came up to slightly less than $50 which is inclusive of tax and service charge.

3.75⭐ Managed to book a month ago for 50% slot today. However I don't crave for BBQ as I just ate few weeks ago. Initial plan was to order the main for myself only while WB will have BBQ meat to himself. End up we ordered 2 meats since the wagyu boneless short rib is available. Although it's tender but it just doesn't have melt in your mouth feeling. I wanted the try the bibim naengmyeon and the portion is huge! The naengmyeon is super chewy which is not easily cut by the teeth hence the scissors came to rescue. WB wanted the Jjajangmyeon but it's not available. I asked him to choose the Bibimbap instead since I had one just few days ago. WB has the perception that Bibimbap is just normal rice with vegetable hence I asked him to try it. The hot stone bowl served is smaller than Ju Shin Jung and I have difficulty mixing the bibimbap without spilling the food. WB also find it not bad and he likes the crunchy charred rice. IMO, Ju Shin Jung Bibimbap is tastier.

4.5⭐ One of my preferred Korean BBQ in SG because Seorae use charcoal grill, the other is Wang Dae Bak. Managed to book a month ago 50% Eatigo discount slot for 2 pax today at 5pm. The Eatigo discount is applicable for ala carte menu except drinks, topping and set. I wanted to try their beef after eating their pork more than a year ago (also booked the 50% Eatigo slot). We had the wagyu beef boneless ribs and it is really what the menu describe as melt in your mouth. We keep nodding our head when savouring the cooked wagyu beef, it's simply heavenly. WB chose the garlic pork skirt meat again as he preferred less fatty meat. The pork skirt meat is rare as each pig only produce 250g and was reserved for the Korean royalties in the past.

Ordered Sundubu Jjigae, Beef Japchae and beef bibimbap.

The Sundubu jjjgae was only 1/4 full when it was delivered. There was barely any toufu or egg or pork. Just a few pathetic onions and stale clams.

The beef in both the japchae and bibimbap was overcooked and inedible.

Bibimbap came without the sauce.

I reached out at 6+pm to let them know the issues and the staff said they will check and get back. 3 hours later, they just said they are sorry and it won’t happen again.

I paid $60 for this extremely unsatisfying meal with zero service recovery.

Thinly sliced marinated beef. The marinade is lovely, with a subtle sweetness that leaves the meat succulent and juicy. Although thinly sliced, there are many slices in each portion, and you're sure to be satisfied.

Price: $22.90

Housed in Plaza Singapura, this restaurant is great for soup lovers. Go straight for the hearty and mega flavourful Gamjatang (from $15.90) with tender pork ribs, potatoes and enoki mushrooms — perfect with a bowl of rice. Also good is their Cheese Mandu Tteokbokki ($16) and the 2-in-1 Jjigae ($20), where you can choose two flavours from kimchi, gochujang or bulgogi. Fun fact: they have a new grilling station and a free-flow banchan bar!

skip the seafood pajeon as it feels like too much flour and very little seafood. a little hard to get the attention of the staff. garlic pork was rather lean, but beef was very flavourful!

😊🌸
Supposed to be Recess next week but it'll be a tightly packed week with cca on 5 days, 3 poems and 2 thesis to submit, admist all the other usual workload. As my prof aptly summarised, "Please enjoy what's left of your recess week" 😂 Yes, I am determined to make the most out of this recess week 💪🏻

Gamjatang which sees tender fall-off-the-bone ribs in a mildly spicy potato stew with enoki mushrooms, potatoes and topped with perilla seeds.

Super thinly sliced yet tender beef ribs.

The Korean street skewers were a refreshing menu item.

Love the fluffy egg, it was a pity we had limited stomach space to finish all of it.

Brought me back to Korea for a while - much better than another famous kbbq near Tanjong Pagar.

Visited on a weekday night - no queue.

It was so very challenging to get a server's attention, and then an Indian waitress forgot about our order. That made us quite irritable - no water provided, utensils were dirty (food stuck on them which couldn't even be wiped off), plates were piled into a tower and still no one came to clear them.

On to the food we ordered the pork set - expensive and the portion was quite small. The egg was too watery and tasteless and the cheese came in a somewhat tiny portion as well - nothing like the pictures I've seen here.

Nothing would make me come back here again. Wouldn't advise anyone to go there, there are better bbqs to spend on seriously.

CHEESE MANDU TTEOKBOKKI - Korean rice cake cooked in hot sauce, served on Korean hot pan with fried fish cake, egg, corn cheese dumpling, ramyeon and pineapple. Everything just tasted so good together. It's my first time tasting the corn cheese dumpling and it really wowed me. SPICY DAKGALBI - Overnight marinated chicken thigh with spicy sauce. WOOSAMGYEOB - US beef shortplate, thinly sliced and marinated with their special juicy sauce. The meats were marinated well and tasted so goodddd! Definitely one of the better Korean BBQ I have tasted.

We can’t stop dipping our meats into the layer of melted cheese. The creaminess is hard to resist. You’ll be glad to know that SEORAE uses authentic top-notch white charcoal which gives a stronger smoky flavour to their meats.
