More Reviews of good food at Shabu Sai (Orchard Central)

Came here for their lunch buffet, on a Super rainy day.
Had a total of 45 trays of sliced beef, and some minced beef as well. The service was prompt in serving up the number of trays when requested. In addition, the staff serving the sides (garnishes, and sauces) were prompt in making their rounds so diners had their garnishes topped up while dining.

The buffet comes with free flow beef, chicken, pork, vegetables, noodles and sushi. I find their sushi quite good as it has quite a variety; maki with fried prawn or squid. You can top up additional $2.99 for their free flow drink and soft serve ice cream. Note that the buffet has a time limit of 70 minutes. They have a monthly soup base which you can try out!

My favourite Shabu Shabu buffet place.

Free flow. Yumssssss

There’s a time limit though

Just remember to keep enough friends around you to fill a hotpot table.

Order a hot pot now! The service was good and food is somehow like a buffet, the restaurant provides meat preferences and other Japanese food - sushi is available. Especially please try out the minced meat served in bamboo, the torched sushi is a must-try food and not available all the time.

Affordable Japanese style steamboat with several soup bases to choose from. Each month a specially concocted soup base will also be introduced and available for that month only. My fav soup bases are the original Tonkotsu and Spicy ones. Both tastes good in their own way. Free flow meat were thinly sliced and fresh, not bad for the price you pay. Other ingredients are available too and for a couple of bucks more you can have the free flow drinks and ice cream package. Really value for money and recommended if you are dining in small groups.

The shabu-shabu here is ok. Meats aren't great. I guess if you like all you can eat style, then this is for you.

Not a bad place to gather as a big group. The service at suntec city one was much better.

Personally I loved their minced chicken and spoon them into the soup. Lovely.

Pork broth n spicy beef was not salty after long boiling n remains the same taste after it

Choose two types of soup base. And start to cook. Vanilla sundae as dessert.

Repost @sylviaaa . Had shabu sai for lunch ytd. The meat was really good but the soup got wayyyy too salty at the end! #steamboat #food #orchard

Bad experience at media tasting. Soups were inconsistent; either too salty or bland. Feedback had been given, and we hope things will improve soon.
