Went with this King’s Garden Tea from the range of pots of teas available. This is a blend of oolong and green tea with chrysanthemum flowers. Enjoyed the smooth bittersweet aftertaste that complemented our peppery bak kut teh meal nicely. They leave a flask of hot water aside for you to add on as and when, but make sure not to leave the pot for too long as the bitterness gets stronger quite quickly.

Surprisingly pretty decent char siew from Song Fa! Though missing our favourite charred crust, but it was not too sweet nor fatty. Got this at their current promo of $4.99 with soup or braised dishes orders.

Rainy day comfort! I’m not really a fan of pork ribs, so always happy when there’s the option to get pork slices instead in my bak kut teh - plus it’s just so much more convenient to eat! Song Fa’s pork tenderloin soup has very tender pork and comes in a pretty generous portion. Servers were friendly and came by to top up their hot peppery soup for us regularly.

Tender pork ribs in flavourful peppery soup. One of the must try dishes in Singapore.

This signature BKT from @songfabkt is a must-try for its soft and tender pork ribs and trademark clear, peppery soup.

The broth is concocted with a blend of garlic and Sarawak peppers which is roasted in-house.
You would find the soup alluring in terms of the spices, but not too excessive such that it would mask the sweetness of the pork.

Also, I generally find the soup light enough to have second or even third helpings, without feeling too rich or greasy.
