Tried Starbuck’s new yuzu genmaicha cheesecake today! I was so excited because there were two of my favourite flavours in this. The yuzu flavour was really fragrant which I liked but there was barely genmaicha flavour so this just tasted like yuzu cheesecake. It was yummy yuzu cheesecake though!
Starbucks Christmas Promotional item: Tuna Shepard's Pie ($6.20) was exactly what you would expect it to be. Hearty mix of Tuna, sweetcorn, sliced carrots and peas encased in Starbucks buttery pie crust and topped off with a layer of mashed potatoes.
I enjoyed the light teatime treat as the pie was warm and comforting yet not too filling. Since Starbucks changed their deep dish beef pie to have potatoes > cheese, I don't have a pie to go to anymore and see myself visiting them less. Now with this pie in the options, I might be more regular.... Pie to Price ratio though, rather steep to be having too often.

This is a value for money breakfast as the cup of coffee is large and this meal is filling. We rate this 8/10. There are also other breakfast set similar deal. This one we like best because of the eggs

It’s so fluffy, layers with cherry blossom flavoured cream. Light and smooth. Taste kinda like Bandung beverage but less intense. Pleasant to look at, especially with the rose petals at the top. Goes well with a cup of tea to savour the afternoon

After the Matcha-Espresso Fusion, Starbucks did it again with the launch of the Butterfly Pea Lemonade Cold Brew. Basically three layers of flavours packed in a cup, it’s not only pretty Instagrammable, but also a surprise in the layering of flavours. Of course, the other way of drinking this is to shake well before drinking, just that the taste becomes a bit weird.
Not too sure if I drank it the “right” way, but basically I enjoyed drinking this from the bottom of the cup. The butterfly pea layer was relatively sweet and quite pleasant, and when it comes to the lemonade layer it was a bit sour but still much enjoyable. Coming to the cold brew layer, I was not fully pleased with the added bitterness, but the overall utility of the whole cup was still quite positive. In short, I believe everyone will have mixed opinions towards this drink, but for being a non-milk beverage, this is still worth a try.
