I didn know it came with fried egg floss so i top up an additional portion. I added fish roe which add up to $9. I love that they use chinese cabbage which is more sweet rather than random vege. The sliced fish was tender and portion was generous too. I was hoping the soup have more umami but it didn. The soup could have been more too but it might be bc i added more stuff. It is still a good bowl of fish soup.
Seem a couple reviews on the fish soup at an industrial area in Ubi - and it really lives up to all the glowing compliments given. Soup was flavourful and rich, but what blew me away was the freshness of the fish, alongside its silky, smooth and tender texture. The fried fish was pretty normal to me, so I’d rather go for wholly the sliced fish. Many reviews recommended adding the fried egg, which I don’t usually like because of how it changes the taste profile and oiliness of the soup. But this wasn’t too oily. Highly recommend to try but be prepared to queue - queue starts even before they open!

A hidden gem in the Ubi industrial area serving tender and flavourful fish soup. My order of sliced fish soup came with a generous amount of sliced fish and cabbage, topped with fried egg floss and shallots. The fish slices were fresh, bouncy and tender in texture, accompanied well by a sweet and flavourful broth made from fish bones and dried sole fish. I also added their fish roe and prawn paste balls to try. I like how the fish roe added a crunchy texture to it. Be prepared to queue for at least 30 minutes even when it’s past lunch hour on a weekend 》$7.50 / Large + $1.50 (2pcs Fish Roe Prawn Paste Ball)
Very generous with the portion and most importantly, the soup is so tasty.. highly recommended
Back to my fav place for Fish Soup 😋 their fish are fresh and bouncy.

This is definitely a very popular fish soup stall in Ubi, as I came pass 2pm on weekdays and the queue still a long stretch.
The soup was tasty but not too milky, while the slices of fried fish are soft to bite. So I guess there’s reason that most people working around here would come here for a bowl of fish soup, despite the long queue.
The first time I tried their fish soup should be around 10 years ago and I fell in love for it. Whenever I think of fish soup, this is the place in mind. Their slice fish is fresh, firm yet has the bouncy bites.
Just notice this time that name has a slight changed from Tai Seng Fish Soup to Thai Seng Fish Soup. After doing some search online, I think it’s maybe there is another Tai Seng Fish Soup stall located at Yung Sheng Road, which doesn’t seem to be related. If you want to try this, search for Thai Seng Fish Soup located at Ubi Road, not Tai Seng Fish Soup at Yung Sheng Road.

Lauded by many and the queue demands a good 30 min wait. Fresh with smooth texture. Above average taste. It was a rare chance to travel all the way there and if you have time to spare, the wait should be fine.
Sliced Fish Bee Hoon is my usual go-to comfort food, and this is one of the best I've ever had. Broth was rich and flavourful, and had a generous portion of thick fish slices which were well-cooked and springy without a fishy smell or aftertaste.
Very generous bowls of Fish Slice Ee Mee & Tom Yum Seafood Soup. The tom yum is tasty with a good tartness kick without making you thirsty and just the right level of spiciness. The seafood soups comes with a good variety of real seafood - squid, big prawns and fish slices. The clear soup is clean with a natural sweetness of fish without the fishiness. Special mention to their super spicy homemade chili.
Flavorful and if you order a $6 portion, you get a lot of fish. Expect to queue abit during lunch time.
Located in Ubi Industrial Park just a few minutes’ walk from Ubi MRT (DT27), prepare to queue for one of the best fish soups in SG. Rich and tasty without being jelak or MSG-laden, and if you love egg like me, the fried egg strips add great flavour to the dish! My sliced fish mee sua cost $4.50. A friend recommended this to me (she can eat it for a week without getting sian). I think if I worked nearby, I wouldn’t mind eating this everyday! Pro tip: Beat the lunch crowd by going at about 11.30am.
My friend clued me in to this hidden gem in Ubi that has got to be one of the best versions I’ve tried. Opting for mee sua instead of beehoon proved to be a good idea, as the thin, silken noodles were lighter on the stomach than bee hoon and allowed me to savour more of the sweet, flavourful broth, so good that you’ll want to slurp down the entire bowl. I liked the big chunks of fried fish too, but they were already sitting in the soup and soggy.
Taste: 3.5/5
Double Sliced Fish Soup Bee Hoon comes with both fresh fish and fried fish slices.

A raining Thursday calls for a hot bowl of sliced fish soup to warm me up. I love mine with additional fish, "ti por" and fried yi mee, what about you? 😋

Here, you will only find fresh and smooth sliced batang in your bowl as Uncle Henry only uses expensive Batang fish. So remember to order fresh slices instead of fried fillets, you'd want all the untainted goodness from the fish! If we're feeling spendy, we would sometimes order fish belly for the extra smoothness, it's really quite shiok!
.
Especially love the fragrant bits of crushed Ti Por! Broth tastes natural and lightly sweet from boiling of bones, along with yee mee as noodle choice. Best part, there's no stinky smell from fish.
.
The soup was so good on it's own but the homemade chilli added a tangy heat, sour and spicy at the same time! Read more (+bonus pic of Uncle Henry!): www.atasteofdojo.com/tai-seng-fish-soup
