It’s nice and whenever we ran out of idea of what to eat for lunch, we’ll come over here...🤣
Damage: $9.50
The soup was surprisingly tastier and served piping hot. Not to discount the fact that they asked if I wanted it to be more spicy and I had what I asked for. For $11.50, you get like a full set as u see in this peekcha!
Lost count the number of times we had lunch here. Back in those days, when the Deep Fried Garlic Pork with Pineapple Rice cost $8 to now where it is $10.50, it's still our to go place. Not bad consider their set lunches comes with a side (tom yum soup or spring rolls) and a glass of drink.
Not the best with the basil chicken lacking the fragrance, tasting like the usual minced meat but they're generous with the portion and it's still a pretty good option for fuss-free lunch! Pick from noodles, rice and sweet pineapple rice, then choose from a variety from a comforting bowl of tomyum soup, green curry etc. Each meal comes with a drink (lemongrass, Thai tea, milk tea) and soup or spring roll.
During the day, Tom Yum Kungfu offers set lunch for the working crowd in the Raffles Place area. Smart move I must say - aren't you always attractive to set lunches? I chose to have the Seafood Tom Yum Mama ($9.50) which also came with 3 small spring rolls and Thai ice tea (or Thai tea/ lemongrass). Super generous bowl of tomyum with fresh seafood such as prawns, squid and fish! Though the soup was not as robust as I'd like it to be, it was definitely a very good lunch deal for the working folks. Just be ready to deal with the food coma post lunch! #BurppleCheapNGood
This hipster outlet beloved for its mookata makes you feel like you're in Thailand with its interior decked out in retro furnishings, Thai pop music blasting, noisy chatter of good friends, and authentic food — quite hip and charming, really. Here, the soup base is light yet uncompromising on flavour, even before all the juicy goodness from the meats gets into the soup. If you order the pricier sets, you get a pack of Mama instant noodles along with vegetables, mushrooms and fried beancurd skin! Don't miss the Deep Fried Kang Kong to snack on, it's really addictive. The atmosphere here is laidback and casual, perfect for catching up with good friends or for a team meal. The space allows for 8 pax to dine comfortably together while sharing two pots.
