Loaded w lots of freah coconut flakes paired with mini toast and coconut ice cream, it brings the Thailand feel out of it.
Sprinkled with biscuit crumbs, the strong buttery fragrance got us hooked! Honestly, the taro flavour is subtle though the biscuit crumbs added a good texture to the toast set. Our guilty pleasure ๐คญ
Also comes in milo dinosaur, thai milk tea, coconut, chocolate and DIY combinations!
A comforting bowl of soup, this came with a good amount of ingredients. Enjoyed the firm meatballs and the sweetness of the broth. Good for when you're feeling under the weather โ

For those who prefer something bold, try their tom yum noodles! The tom yum base leans towards a sour profile with some spicy notes. Ours came with succulent prawns, fish, sotong and straw mushrooms. Sadly, the sotong wasn't very fresh ๐
Forgot to ask for less sugar, hence this was on the sweeter side. Generous amount of pearls
Our favourite thai toast! Bought triple dips and they were amazing, with pandan and yam being our favourites. Toast was crispy and buttery too
Quite a decent shibuya toast that you can find in the neighborhood. The coconut aloha comes with coconut ice cream, shredded coconut and coconut meat which is definitely going to satisfy your craving for coconut ๐
Usually spicy broth for a chain that caters to the public, it's actuallt rather fragrant but slightly lacking in flavours. Guess it's to promote the set lunch so that customers buy the drink as well.
Prawns were decent and the squid pieces were generous and soft. A pleasant surprise was the crunchy cauliflowers that were hidden beneath the chewy noodles which went well with the soup. Worth a try but there's definitely better places for the same price range
Light, fluffy, crispy and buttery. Nothing wrong with the bite sized toast but the thai tea kaya was a little weird despite the strong thai tea flavour. But i guess since it's homemade it's not gonna be perfect
Supposedly a CNY special, the staff at Tuk Tuk Cha tells me that this Thai tea toast combi is gonna be sticking around! (I did a happy little dance inside)๐
Slathered generously in a Thai tea drizzle, topped off with some crumble and a large scoop of, that's right, more Thai tea-flavoured ice cream! And the toaaaaast! Oh man, that buttery hot cube of air-fried bread soaking up all that sauce and goodness... I felt my heart skip a beat. Or maybe it's just a heart attack approaching. Whatever it is, my โค๏ธ is yours! ๐
I was torn between the shibuya toast, or the more manageable golden toast, and I would've ordered both if I had my way ๐ decided to go for the latter in the end - Golden Toast with Taro Kaya ($4.20), which came in little bite-sized delights, crisp and toasty, which went so well with the fragrant yam-scented spread. I'll be back for more! #burpple #dessert #dessertporn
๐ I liked how the noodles came with the option of #boatnoodles portions ($1.90 each), which gave me the chance to try the different varieties available! And it may look small, but we were stuffed after it. It was a close fight between the Tom Yam and Beef Noodles, both of which had really flavourful broths. The tom yam was wickedly appetizing with a tangy, slightly thicker-than-normal broth, and if you order the regular size for the Beef Noodles ($8.80), you'll be rewarded with a very generous bowl of stewed beef, beef slices and beef balls. Aroi mak mak! ๐๐ผ #burpple
Mini Tom Yum Noodles ($1.90)
Just loving this mini bowl of tom yum noodles from @tuktukcha . Though mini, the portion was decent enough to give you a good feel of what the usual portion would taste like. Tom yum broth was super yums and quite ๐ฅspicy๐ฅ! Perfect to let that thai milk tea quell the heat! This was really enjoyable as a mini portion beside their beef noodles soup ๐!
Beef Noodles Soup ($8.80)
Noticed that @tuktukcha serves savories aside from their extensive menu of drinks and snacks. I was really pleased with this bowl of ๐beef noodles soup. It easily tasted like what I would find in Bangkok. It was chock full of ingredients like beef slices, beef balls and super tender chunky beef brisket. Also downed every last drop of the delicious soup๐!
For drinks, I also love how they allow you to select the sugar level of their drinks. I picked 0% for my thai milk tea and enjoyed the strong thai tea flavours without the sweetness being too overbearing!
When you crave for a taste of Thailand.. Green milk tea ($3) & Toast w/ Golden Thai tea kaya ($4.20) -- wished the tea flavour of the kaya to be slightly stronger and maybe slightly sweeter too๐
Tried the Matcha Shibuya toast, and the toast with taro yam dip. They were good! Sweet and crunchy. The portion was decent as well.
I liked the matcha Shibuya toast the most. The ice cream was not too sweet, which compliments the sweetness of the azuki beans and chocolate well.
One issue with the place is that it is kinda strange for everything to be self service, including the clearing of our trays. Some people didn't clear their plates, which meant that we needed to clear for them. And I mean they do sell proper food, like Tom Yam noodles, and even at the clearing area they didn't provide enough space for us to put those used bowls and plates.
And so.....I returned for the 5th time in 2 weeks and got myself a free toast because I have been religiously collecting stamps during my visits. I expected only condensed milk to be drizzled over a small serving of toast, (well, considering it's free) BUT TO MY SURPRISE.... There was such a generous amount of milo powder *screams* on top of the crispy, fluffy, piping hot toast! The texture of the toast was perfect. Crispy yet fluffy and light. I LOVE IT. Tuk Tuk Cha, I'm this close to relocating my house right next to your store.
Can Tuk Tuk Cha start a VIP program already? Ever since it opened in Junction 8, I probably visited this place for a good 3 times within this week. Opening in J8 is probably the best decision made by anyone ever. I couldn't get enough of the beef boat noodles, but we'll leave that for another time. I rarely give in to sweets and desserts but when it comes to waffles..... Nothing else really matters. I really enjoyed the red velvet waffle topped with the vanilla ice cream and maple syrup. I think it was pretty good item on the dessert menu especially for those who feel peckish after their noodles cuz the portion isn't THAT huge to make you feel bloated. The plain waffles can take the backseat though, because it wasn't even thoroughly cooked I could almost taste the batter... I saw many people ordering it together with the Milk Tea ice cream but I already had a huge cup of Milk Tea in my tumtum (which btw, is rly good) Living in Thailand for half a year has raised my standards of a simple cup of Cha Yen and some are either too milky, too sweet or a diluted tea taste. I'm glad Tuk Tuk Cha managed to strike a good balance :) But then again, for the price tag of $3+.....it OUGHT to strike a good balance ๐
Currently exclusive to Tuk Tuk Cha at Junction 8 is the Noodle menu where they offer a variety of soup and dry noodles in both regular portions (only for Beef Noodle Soup and Tom Yum Soup Noodle only) and Boat Noodle portions at $1.90. This is the mini portion, where you can get to try out different flavours at smaller sizes. The glass noodles are chewy, and the lone prawn was surprisingly bouncy and fresh โ all swimming in a flavoursome Tom Yum broth that is all punchy with tangy, sweet and spicy flavours. Only gripe was that the broth seemed to be powered by MSG for flavours as I gulped the Iced Thai Milk Coffee hard right after each sip of the broth. Thought the staff could have been a little more organized; a problem that I have had at their other new outlet at Jurong Point as well.
