Apparently a signature item here. Like most such sausages, the casing was irritating. But I admit the meat was quite delicious.

Finally tried wow wow west at ABC brickworks and... not a fan. My chicken was quite over cooked. It was a thigh cut but they somehow managed to cook it till the edges were rock hard. Have to hand it to them though, portion sizes were pretty massive.

Heard good reviews about this western food and decided to try it out on a Saturday night. It was such a popular place that we queued and waited for the food for half an hour. Thank God, we were one of the last few customers to order. They closed and started chasing customers away by 8pm.

Worth the wait, although I thought it’s a little dry. Food is in a huge portion but definitely value for money, for $8 only.

💸: $7

💬: 2 generous slabs of meat which were grilled reaaaaal well, tender and super smoky, a meat lover's dream come true

Value for money $8 for fish and chips + $2 for the sausage! 🤤 expect to wait awhile to get your food, but the hawkers are fighting their best to prepare the food to fill our belly!

My kind of brunch! #golocal #hawkerfood

It’s been a while since I’ve had Wow Wow West’s fish & chips since the letdown last time, and they’ve pulled off a remontada (for those not in the know of football twitter lingo, a remontada is a colossal comeback) that’s as gargantuan as these fish fillets.⠀

The breading is as crunchy as I used to remember it, and the fish within was firm, flaky and perfectly fried, albeit a little lacking in salt. Yup, two of these fabulous fried fish fillets, a mountain of crisp fries, a heap of coleslaw that leans towards the sweeter side of the spectrum, and baked beans costs eight dollars. Oh, don’t forget to ask for more of that housemade tantalising tartar sauce, because that magical elixir makes the fried fish absolutely ambrosial.⠀

Eight buckaroos for a gut busting, fantastic food coma is pretty cheap, and you can take that to the bank. That’s right, these fantabulous fish & chips are doing their thing again. Wow Wow West is back!
