Part of Coconut Kaya Toast Set ($5.50)
.
Two pieces of toast with a spread of traditional gula melaka shredded coconut and Ya Kun’s signature kaya
.

From Ya Kun
早餐signature set A, inside the toast: creamy butter & delicious kaya.
2 soft boiled eggs and brewed coffee.
Classic indulgence.

😀
Kaya Toast was too artificial to me - both the smell & the taste. Coconut presence was too strong & not to my liking
😒
Kopi O was surprisingly nice! The coffee aroma was alluring & the taste was on point! A tint of mocha feel & taste

No!!!
Indeed my kopi cup is smaller than my kaki’s teh cup 😕
Kopi ($1.80), Ginger Milk Tea ($2)
☕️
Cheese Balls ($2.80) - so so only, not really nice. Quite hard to chew when it cooled down. Dough was thick.

Yuan Yang is my choice of caffeine on days I need a stronger pick-me-up (I'm a local Teh girl, but not so much for loca kopi). So far the best Yuan Yang I've tasted is still at Ya Kun. Perfect medly of Kopi and Teh aroma and taste, just that $1.80 is slightly pricey for local caffeine don't you think?
