Very tender pieces of mutton ribs cooked slowly in a broth accented with Chinese wolfberries, angelica roots, ginseng and sliced ginger...such a warming comfort for the body. Ok, that's all.

Salted Egg Pork Ribs with Rice ($6) Don't know if I was plain hungry but it was a really satisfying meal! Portion of meat was more to the smaller side, which was a tad disappointing. But the salted egg sauce was really good and the pork ribs are tender! Rice went really well with the sauce but it was a tad spicy with the chilli padi seeds littered in the pool of salted egg. Recommended still!

Tteokbokki ($5) is available in different flavours, Rainbow Bingsu ($6) is uniquely colorful, Fried Squid ($6) & Potato Tornado ($3) is crispy and flavorful, Chicken Tteokbokki Skewers ($4) has huge chunks of meat! 😋 Thanks 1460 Tteokbokki for the yummy snacks #qxfoodtasting

Insanely addictive savoury crisp skins of duck with a sprinkle of extra fried batter crumbs. Right in the depths of Lucky Plaza. So glad I found you! This. And a beer or cider and you're set for the night. Definitely SatisFRIED!

New offering at my favourite Hongkong cafe in town. Silky smooth curd was cold and inviting but lacked soy flavour. Felt more like a milk tart with a sweet pastry shell. Stick to their signature egg tarts if you're here!

Food Republic @ Shaw House upped the food court game by having a designated corner of Japanese food stalls.

The first stall I tried was Omurice Factory as the food models at the stall front were just so enticing. Instead of the signature demiglas and the seductive curry, I chose to have white cream omurice ($8.90).

There are 3 toppings to choose from for additional of $3.90: pork cutlet, fried prawns and chicken cutlet. If you are interested, add melted cheese for just $1.90. Big eaters can include everything! 😄

This plate of Omurice was above my expectation for food court standard and its price. 👍 Reasons being, the portion was really huge, pork cutlet was thick albeit slightly dry and the omelette's doneness was on spot - it was still a little wet and wobbling.

But I was a little sad that there was no ketchup at the stall to let my draw a heart on my omurice. 😔 And usually omurice uses fried rice but Omurice Factory uses plain rice.

I decided to splurge a little and ordered the Fish & Lobster (Cheese Topping) set from Fish & Chicks. If you think the portion appears rather scanty, I will say you're not totally wrong. Otherwise, the mean price is most likely attributable to the presence of a lobster. This was filling and satisfying. It comes with some golden fries which are a lot crispier than they look, as well as a dollop of pale green wasabi mayo.

Couldn't scrape a lot of the lobster meat, but for what I'd yielded, it was a good chunk of it. And while it wasn't the freshest, it was an immense pleasure to have with the melted cheese. Nothing much to point out about the Salted Egg Fish & Chips, except that I'm glad the amount of sauce (which was leaning towards the sweeter side) I got was generous. 😋

This place has come quite a long way, and I do see it having a fair bit of longevity. If they wish to prolong that, they have to make their products and promotions a lot more visible to people. All good things deserve some form of recognition, right? (7.3/10)

The premium Hamasaen matcha powder has a unique aroma and made from 100% tea leaves of Shizuoka Prefecture, located at Mount Fuji. Love the smooth and fine powdered Matcha soft serve 😋

Family-owned restaurant that serves affordable and authentic Korean fare in town! All the items on the menu were priced below $10. To the point when I was already reaching the end of the queue, I was still having difficulty deciding on what to order. Bibimbap, fried saba, spicy chicken, Mandu stew, ramyeon, everything looked good!

Ordered the chicken bibimbap which was served in a sizzling stone bowl. On top of the rice, there were minced chicken, cucumber, bean sprout, carrot, cabbage, and of course that sunny side up. Look at that runny egg yolk, ooh!

Each set comes with a bowl of cabbage soup, gochujang to mix into the bibimbap (I totally love the mixing part like that in claypot rice!), and a choice of side dish (kimchi, cucumber or anchovies).

Looking for something light to eat, so I decided to try this Dark Chocolate Churro with Strawberry Crunch from Churro 101! It exceeded my expectation 😊

Have always wanted to give DOJO a visit ever since they moved to 313@Somerset. While the menu is a little more concentrated as compared to the days they were at Circular Road, the most significant different had to be the lack of a dine-in space — it's very much confined to the communal dining space at the basement of 313@Somerset (also meaning that everything would be served in disposable wares).

Went for this to satisfy my craving for meat and savoury items (all I had was bread and cakes). Essentially a grilled pork steak with the meat cut up and served with honey mustard — the meat was especially juicy and succulent; hinting of a light smokiness from the grilling. Decent for a light snack, though the portion is probably not the best for sharing.

You will see a long queue for this Chimney Cake with Soft serve. So much so that on the 1st day, they were all sold out before 8pm. Well, fret not people. You can find them at Scape.
