Always on the lookout for good lobster roll so when I heard of this, I had to try it.

The Good: The bread for the lobster roll was good and toasted just right. There was a generous amount of lobsters. The nachos and chips were great (admittedly, it’s hard to mess up nachos and chips)

The not-so-good: There was a bit too much lemon on the lobster and overpowered the taste. I would definitely want to request no lemon next time. The fruits in the fruit cup weren’t fresh - wasn’t worth the $3 top up for fruit cup and tea.

Firstly, the marshmallow was toasted just right when I got it, not burnt. The burnt part is from when I reheated it and accidentally forgot to take it out in time.
Now we have that out of the way, this was a really good brownie. It was chewy, almost fudgy, and I loved the toppings! Would definitely buy again.

I’ve been wanting to try more bubble teas from here since I had their amazing bubble tea soft serve. So when I went past their Suntec store, I had to stop and get myself their tie guan yin tea latte. Even though the sugar level was at 50% (the lowest), the tea wasn’t overly sweet and the natural taste of tea was allowed the shine. The milk added a nice touch of creaminess. Loved it!

I haven’t tried tempura since I came back to Singapore, so I’m glad that my ‘first’ experience was a good one! The tempura is crispy without being oily, and the rice is fluffy and has just the right amount of sauce. All the items were fried to perfection - I was surprised at how tender the and moist the chicken was! The only thing that brought the tendon down was the cheese in salmon tempura: I had almost no cheese. But it seems to vary from bowl to bowl, since my friend’s salmon oozed cheese. Perhaps I was just unlucky?

Service here was fantastic (the servers are very cheerful, prompt, and helpful), and they accept mileslife payments, which is an added bonus. Food however, is mixed in terms of quality. I really liked the truffle/mushroom sauce and the mushrooms here (at every drop), but I found the ravioli filling too mushy and the ratio of pasta to filling to be off.

But tbh, I can accept a lot in exchange for good service so overall, I was pretty happy.

Came for the charcoal crepe, left with this. The cake is pretty good - not too sweet with just the right amount of cream (this is debatable, my mom thinks there was too much cream). However, the green tea taste isn’t very strong - it’s mostly in the topping, which is too easily overwhelmed by the cake itself.

I’ve been missing fish and chips with salt and vinegar and this hit the spot! Eaten hot, the fish was crispy on the outside and soft (but not mushy) on the inside. The chips were also covered with batter and tasted great. I was also pleasantly surprised with how much fish there was - definitely more fish than chips!

Get more vinegar if you can; it adds flavour and helps to cut down on the greasiness.

I was craving egglets and since I was at Vivo city, I decided to get this.

The good: the outside of the egglet was crispy and the Pandan scent and taste were strong and reminiscent of kaya.

The not-so-good: The inside of the egglet was dry. I expect it to be somewhat hollow, but many of them were just shells. I think it may have been left to warm for a bit too long.

Came here for the afternoon tea! The scones weren’t that good, but the sweets and savouries more than made up for it. I liked that the savouries were part of a buffet, so after you finish what’s on the tiers, you can go and get more (I ate so much smoked salmon and the cheese+crackers). The sweets were really good too, and everything went well with the tea.

The tea is from TWG, so it’s pretty much what you expect. Quite a large selection and you get to change flavours every new pot.

My friends and I spent a leisurely two hours here, just eating and chatting.

Went here on a weekday afternoon and so many stalls either had long queues or weren’t open. Ended up here because I didn’t want to queue ($2.70 for my rice + two items). The ba pa/Pork chop was okay, although the slices weren’t evenly cut (some were a bit too thin). The vegetables were meh and room temperature, so I didn’t finish it.

I liked how the noodles were springy and the mushrooms extremely flavourful. The meat was okay but nothing to shout about. If they gave a bit more sauce, it would have been much tastier (to me).

Buttermilk waffles with caramel ice cream, cream, and lots of speculoos! The waffles were crispy on the outside and soft inside. It was pretty flavourful on its own, but it tastes way better with the speculoos and the butter and the cream together. The butter is salted and complements all the sweet stuff well - just be aware at least one slice is under the ice-cream and will not be easy to spread. The ice-cream tastes very much like vanilla, I only realised it was caramel much later.
