Team lunch at Burpple! First time trying this modernist styled Roast Pork.
It is very tender, with crispy skin and complex base flavours.
Look how awesome it is. Definitely trying it again.

This bread plate was highly recommend. Asked for it to be toasted but ehhh, how come it's so cold and not toasty. Whatttttt!!?!!!?! But it's still not bad nonetheless #burpplesg #burpple #sgfoodporn #sgfoodaddict #sgfood #sgfoodies #sgfoodie
I was randomly searching for a place for dinner on my phone when I came across this Burp Kitchen & Bar. Located under a block of HDB flats that faces the Bedok Reservoir, the restaurant view is generally soothing regardless day or night.
The Hog is one of their burgers in the restaurant that contains pork. Consisting of a pork patty with bacon, berry jam and cheese, it does give me a sense of fullness after swallowing it down with the serving of potato chips.
If I can be picky, I find that the bacon tends to be on the salty side. Fortunately the berry jam deflects the saltiness a little, at the same time giving the burger a more balanced taste.
S$14.00 for this? Sure thing!
Not a bad afternoon snack while work life is giving you headaches oh!

Their belachan...super wicked! Can they please package them into bottle and sell it?

Went for some healthy option after having so many CNY foods in the past few days. Ordered one of their best seller burger which comes with avocado pate, beetroot, crispy GMO-free plant-protein patty, fresh lettuce, Aussie onion, creole tomato, and artisan bun. Definitely the best choice if you like to have some avocado in your meal. $9.90, add $3.90 for choice of fries or broccoli and a drink.

This is amazing. Crispy on the outside, juicy fresh avocado in the inside. Plus, the presentation was so nice! Will definitely have this again.

Stumbled upon this little jem while out looking for a place for lunch. Although the store is situated in a little store space, it's hard not to miss it because of the long queue of hungry customers.
Ordered a combination of Hainanese pork chop, cabbage, fried egg, fish cake δΊι¦, and of course drizzled with loads of curry sauce.
I was expecting some tender pork chop but instead I was offered some really crispy textured pork chop which gave the whole dish the much needed crunch. The curry sauce was on point, with subtle hints of coconut and a tad of spicyness.
Taste ββββ (I liked it very much or I'm just hungy waiting in queue for 30mins)
Price βββ (S$15, too pricey for a hawker food but ok fine a michelin star)
Location βββ (too hot, warm and sticky feels)
Ordered the Special Noodle! It comes with a side dish and a soup. So whats special in this noodle was you are given 3 pieces of wanton , 3 slices of "super tender" chasu, a whole soft boiled spring egg and a crispy potato with a shrimp wrap inside. I gained 1.5kg eating this haha! But it is worth it πππ
The crispy roast pork belly definitely stood out amongst the 3. Char Siew was pretty good but not as succulent as we would love it to be. The roast duck was just decent. We have had tastier Char Siew elsewhere.
Had to say that their roast pork had the crispiest crackling skin which was yummy. However, the pork belly on the whole lost out in terms of its skin-to-fats-meat ratio. There was too much fats for our liking.
If we were to look at the trio platter on the whole, there are also nicer ones around. Nonetheless, their crispy roast pork was still worth recommending simply for that crackling skin.
Yet another Izakaya in Singapore CBD, but the gyudon served was excellent. The special salad was great too.
