Basically what my colleague had. The salmon is well marinated with the soya sauce and not over cooked at all, hence retaining the juicy texture. Broccoli pretty much standard as with all Lean Bento set. The spaghetti was okay. I still prefer what I had even though it was full of greens.
Only available for weekend brunch, the Refinery Roll is The Refinery's answer to the lobster roll. Yet another roll that comes under $30 at $25++, it has its flaws just like how the others amongst the same price range was. Thought that the inclusion of Tobiko Roe was genius as they contributed a popping sensation with the chunky lobster meat, but the lobster meat seemed to be doused and flavoured by the in-house Japanese dressing which covered off the lobster's natural sweetness. The slow-grilled butter roll had a buttery fragrance but I wish they could change out for bun that is less dense, while the grilling could be more even for a more uniformed grilled crispness on the crust.
This was a true testament of the ππ Best pancakes in NYC by New York Magazine! ππThe plate of triple stacked pancakes was simply the best among all other pancakes I ever munched on, no kidding π Never did I imagine a pancake without a scoop of ice cream could win me over; till I had this!! Ooh and wait till you drizzle that maple butter syrup, every bit to savour I dare say! The overall dining experience was very lovely indeed! A great ambience in a classy place with the most attentive & courteous staff and serving up warm food as early as 9am on weekdays? Win Liao! ππΌπππlππΌ
This is like the best mix (prolly the only) of kimchi & carbonara. In love with it! There's this mild sweetness and taste of kimchi in it. My favorite part is the fried shallots that are poured in top of the dish. Exquisite taste!
By the team behind funky izakaya Neon Pigeon comes this Middle Eastern joint oozing hipster pizzazz. Prepare your taste buds to go on a journey of Middle Eastern spices and flavours β think kebabs, falafels and everything in between. Start with the Fat Prince Hummus ($11), which sees blended chickpeas enlivened with garlic, lemon juice and duck fat. Yes, you heard that right. Thankfully, the result is an extra creamy, unctuous dip begging that you repeatedly dip the side of spice-dusted crackers into. For mains, share the Beef Adana Kebab ($16) with a friend (portions are generous!). Expect flavourful minced beef adana chunks and harissa scrambled eggs, wrapped in pillowy pita. If it's your first visit, it might be worth splurging on the Pistachio Latte ($7) for the experience of tasting roasted pistachios in every sip.
Avg Price: $25 per person

Highly recommend the Risotto ($28) with a strong earthy mushroom flavour that is perfectly matched with the truffle aroma.
Pro Tip: Go the soonest possible as the menu will be there for as long as the truffle supply lasts. The owners estimate it to be 1-2 week. Don't say bojio.
Thanks @cassakating for sharing the loveβ€οΈ and @paddyhills.sg for serving us.
With an interesting menu of Japanese-inspired food, Kumoya is bound to attract youngsters and dessert lovers with their homemade eclairs, macarons, madeleines, pancakes and parfait. That's quite a lot for a cafe, juggling both savory and sweet items!
π
The mini eclairs are really delicious. I have to say they fare a notch better than many out there. With their rich flavors, you can really savour the intensity of the respective ingredient used, e.g. coffee eclair has a strong coffee taste. Obviously, not skimping on the ingredients π
.
The fillings are generous too, filling up the entire inside of the pastry. It makes one feel satisfied from just savoring something so compact and bite-size yet full of punch π».

Yesterday's lunch was the personalised Bibimbap from Joo Bar because I had been thinking of eating it again for goodness knows how long! On this visit, I created mine with purple rice adorned with tender chunks of spicy chicken, minced kimchi, Korean beansprouts, sweet corn and a soy dressing which was served on the side. Still can't believe this huge portion (which comes in a massive heavy iron bowl that keeps the food warm for longer) only cost me $10.90++! ππ
One of the in-house favourites; comes in a milky broth with rice noodles and no MSG added;
2 huge ass crabs with stewed beehoon in flavorful seafood goodness broth! Can't stop at one bowl!
Best grilled unagi I have had for under $20. It was such a huge piece. Well valued for money.
