Iām a creature of habit and once a place does it well, Iāll return and return. Creamy mushrooms went well with the sourdough which was quite easy to eat. I find many places having sourdough thatās too hard and too sour but Atlasā was really not bad. Added scrambled eggs (the runny kind) and Italian sausage.
My mom had the croissant with scrambled eggs which Iāll consider having for a lighter option next time.
Back here again and a great place to chill with friends on Friday Night, not too noisy and great for conversations. I polished this dish. Chicken was not so dry this time around and I really enjoyed the brown sauce that went well with everything from the chicken to the mash.
Skip the fries which were a little blend. Iāll return for the desserts and fried chicken day!
Decided to go for Borutoās New Menu and sighpie, I miss the old one. But must give credit to this sio bak that was very well cooked, almost has the melt in the mouth feeling and the skin was crispy. Other dishes that were similar had some ingredients replaced but I preferred the old one. One of which is the pulled pork with rice cracker has been replaced with focaccia instead. May give is just another try, perhaps for the thin crust.
This grilled fish stole the show. I liked that the broth was not overly rich and easy to savory and packed with lots of other ingredients including tofu skin.
The other dishes were okay but nothing that really stood out, but I really advise against ordering the chow mien which seriously in a takeaway box (like Chinese takeaway in Europe/ US), hmm other better ways to spend your money.
FOC Sentosa> FOC Hong Kong street to be honest for the great ambience and really good service. Squid ink paella has always been the star here for me, Iāve been a follower of this since FoodBar dada days! Serving is really reasonable and I like that the rotate the seafood on top, I have had scallops and squid previously and you can really taste the bits of squid in the well cooked rice. I personally like the little āburntā bits and will scrap the pan for it haha.
Also found a new love, the mushroom croquettes looks unassuming but taste delicious with a very rich mushroom flavor. Other favorites I usually order include the Gambas, tortilla and patata bravas. For a more refreshing starter, consider the gazpacho that comes interestingly with avocado as well.
You shd flock to birds of a feather if you havenāt been there. Dishes quite unassuming but the flavours are rather on point. My favourite is this baked eggplant with mantou and cheese. I usually avoid eggplant, personally find them smelling weird but the flavors of sweet & spiciness really went well, musking the smell but blending well with the texture of the eggplant. Another favourite is spicy oriental bolognese. I am sure to revisit this pretty space.
Lime Mojito Sphere is 1//3 the size of my palm but provides a refreshing burst when popped into my mouth. It is nice but a tad expensive at 4.50 each and there is GST if you dine in. Went during very off peak hours so it was quiet and nice to sit in this quaint cafe in the neighborhood.
This is guilty indulgence in the morning because of the excessive amount of lard so it does feel slightly oily. But plus points are that the noodles are quite QQ and Char Siew is rather tender.
New concept by PS Cafe with a more Japanese take. Two items I enjoyed in particular. Firstly, the nest of fries. Had rather high expectations of this since PS Cafe is known for the truffle fries. Didnāt disappoint it was crispy and the distinct truffle smell remains through the ānestā. Udon goreng was another favorite with rather thin and flavorful noodles, felt like a good rendition of a special Indonesia mie goreng hahah. Overall, JYPSY will be able to get a return visit because food is reasonably priced and the good ambience for girly dates haha
Chewy noodles (like thick ban mian) found here, quite authentic and similar to what Iāve tried in Xi An. Many different choices so choose according to the ingredients you prefer. Worth a try if you are craving for some Chinese noodles.
Honestly the bun could be warmer but I guess if you like chunky lobster pieces, Lukeās Lobster is not too bad for a quick eat. But the Chelsea market triumphs this for me!
Seems like the to go place for morning quick take away. I was quite intimidated by the ordering system during my first ordering experience because you have to order first (and there were so many things to choose from) and then a while later, when you reach the cashier what you ordered - I misremembered some ingredients of my order and got told offš. In any case, bagel had really good texture but play around with the many many ingredients because there are so many. Even for bagel choices, SO MANY. Noticed many just went for the everything bagel.
