Affordable priced and comes with a chock full of ingredients from the refreshing chilled cucumber strips to chunks of that minced meat gravy. Before eating, do mix some of that chilli and chilli oil with the noodles for an even better flavour.

Homemade Squid Ink Spaghetti, Greenland Shrimps, Baby Squid, Fish Crumbs and Calamansi. An umami bomb I would say, right from the squid ink pasta and all the way to the fish crumbs which were twined within β€” each strand has a good level of savouriness that just adds to the dish's flavour profile for a slight crunchy, garlicky and saltiness similar to fried fish skin. You would probably love this if you are one who can't resist slightly heavier flavours like me!

When there is fried chicken, curry, free-flow pork lard and Mee Kia, call me. Got really really excited when I saw this surface on Instagram and Burpple and made a note that I must try this out. Made a beeline for it and no regrets at all β€” thick curry zhup that's flavourful from the right proportions of coconut milk and other ingredients and thick, generous slices of fried chicken that's all comforting for the soul alongside springy noodles that holds up itself well against the curry sauce. As if that's not good enough, spam the fried pork lard at the side onto your plate of noodles to get that satisfying crunch of savoury goodness. It's everything I love and would want to have in an entire plate, and this stall just does everything so well that I think I am more than just sold!

Say annyeonghaseyo to 1460 Tteokbokki, the latest snack bar to open at Cineleisure that offers takeaway Korean street food that many of you are all so familiar with. No need to go to Myeongdong or Dongdaemun, you can now walk down Orchard Road with a stick of that Fried Squid ($6) or Potato Tornado ($3), while channeling your inner Korean fantasy, but without the cooling weather. Kamsahamnida.

Thanks @1460tteokbokki and @angwman for hosting and @geekyelephant for the invite.

Grilled black pomfret, squid, prawns, satay and chicken. This was so so good. If you're in a party of four or more, I say order this and a veg to share, and maybe an extra order of the satay (it's chunky and smoky and smothered in sauce) that's so good! The black pomfret was completely destroyed by the end of the meal, we'd chomped on every possible part, so tasty. Really enjoyed my family dinner here, you should consider it too!!

Super silky mash with squid ink and sea salt, what a luxury. This was one of my favorites from 5th Quarter, and I'm so glad they've kept it on the menu at Salted and Hung. Don't miss this! Overall, the dishes I loved from 5th Quarter were fantastic as ever (tripe, mash, all desserts), while the new ones didn't quite match them. I hope to come back again to see how they fare in the coming months though!

Grandma's Secret Chilli Crab recipe with Fettuccine. At $16 this felt a little overpriced for what you get in return. No doubt it's chili crab, but I do wish that it came with a little more meat to justify the price. Fettuccine felt that it could do better with a little more cooking time, and although the chili crab was sauce was decently spicy, it tasted seemingly dull lacking in the flavours of fresh crustacean. The jiggly poached egg releases an explosive burst when poked on, but seemed to have a missing link to the pasta in terms of flavour. Perhaps a more refined execution would help in improving this dish.

Happy treats! My favourite has gotta be the sweet, milky and tart strawberry popsicle, with the creamy durian one a close second!

It has been a very very bad morning, things not going right and people getting under my skin. There's just so many things that my brain can handle, any much more and it's just gonna explode. Need to look at pretty stuff to calm myself down. As the saying goes, "when you are down, the only way out is up " - let's hope this is true.

Herein is the Chee Cheong Fun 2.0 ($8) from Art Art And Away, a retail outlet of the arts and dessert kiosk, which is a mango roll served with black sugar sauce and strawberry sauce on the side and housed in a Chinese wooden steamer. A cheeky play on the traditional dim sum dish, chee cheong fun, but this is the sweet version.
