Chocolate earl grey tart. Choc cake. A chocolate speciality cafe! Right about the famous curry fish head at Amoy.
This ($7) was very refreshing on a hot day and both the lavender and yuzu tastes were distinct yet they complement each other too.
Just recently, I returned to check out more of their desserts! đ¤¤
Those who know me well enough will know that I am a huge sucker for anything with white chocolate, but also have mad expectations for all things white chocolate-related. For one, it cannot be too sweet, although 'sweet' is subjective and I believe I have a pretty high tolerance for sweetness. All that said, I of course had to give the Raspberry White Chocolate ($7) a go, just because. đ¤¤
I love that the sweetness of the mousse does not cloy, while the raspberry compote surprise centre is tart and not too sweet either, safely pairing well with its thick white chocolate exterior. What could be improved is the base; so thin and soft with no crumbly goodness whatsoever that it almost feels like too much effort will cause you to cut into the plate - I kid, but it definitely could do with more...in general. Otherwise, this is close to being a rather well-executed white chocolate dessert and I'll have no qualms with having this again in future.
The famous soft serve are finally here in town - Hurrayyyy! If I have to choose one dessert to eat for the rest of my life, it will have to be ice cream softserves for those creamy layers and texture. Those all fulfilled @aquas.sg!
Currently 2 flavours on rotation would be Thai Iced Tea and Lychee, both pretty decent but their basic Sea Salt flavour is still one of my favourite!! The 2 flavours are only here till 30 Sept, but I canât wait to know whatâs the 2 new ones! Do check out their Instagram and find out on 1 Oct!
Thanks Ah Ma @ksherena for bringing Ah Girl for ice creamđŚ
I could really taste the original (eggs and butter) flavour in this pancake... fragrance and yummy! There are even slices of banana inside each pancakes. It could be better if I am given more ice cream, the tiny scoop of ice cream is too pathetic....
Itâs a way of living.â ~ as mentioned by Kakuidaâs. Specialising in Kurozu aka Japanese black vinegar which is created by fermenting brown rice using a traditional process. Offering different Kurozu drinks such as seasonal special, Tankan Fruit Kurozu. At first sip, I wasnât used to the sharp citrusy taste but it does slowly grow on you after a while.
â˘
Other than the drinks, the baked doughnuts (infused with kurozu) are a popular choice as many office ladies would buy boxes of it. The flavours include Original ($1.90), Chocolate ($2.20), Matcha ($2.20) and even chocolate chips!

I think I need a new series: the #burpplebeyond seriesđ
In this installation is the 1 for 1 ramen at Tempura Ten Ten. I am of the view that the establishment is more of an expert at Tendons as compared to Ramen. The bowls of umami pork broths with symmetrical ramen noodles felt like the premium pre-made ramen packets you get from special Japanese food market/marts. Nothing wrong about them and worthwhile with the 1 for 1 deal.
$3 ($2 now till 17 Jun, check out their Instagram)
Love the melon pan buttery crust!! The cream portion is very generous.
So glad that Sunday Folks is on #burpplebeyond, making it really affordable! My favourite soft serve is the gula melaka one because itâs slightly salted and just goes so well with the waffles and honey and chocolate drizzled onto the plate. I quite enjoy their soft serve texture as itâs less dense and not so creamy. Also liked the little mochi cubes which were soft and chewy! The almond brittle is also a great topping to have. Was really nice to chill here with my friends before sending one of them off overseas!
Always love a good pasta place!
Spaghetti bolognese is my all-time comfort foods (especially if they meatballs)! Sadly, no meatballs but Spagtacularâs take on the traditional bolognese but it has a lovely sous vide egg which when stirred in, gives much more bite to the pasta. I enjoyed the al dente texture of the spaghetti which is hard to come by for places at this affordable price point. Overall, a wonderful dish as I cleaned out the plate of every drop red wine infused beef bolognese sauce.
Also, #BurppleBeyond is available here so imagine getting a main for less than $10?! Definitely coming with a friend next time!
Second time in a week trying out their dope ice cream. Have concluded that the only flavours to get are Green Tea and Pistachio. đ
Rating(s):
5/5 (Green Tea & Pistachio flavours)
4/5 (Avocado flavour)
3.5 (Ferrero flavour - alittle too sweet for my liking, would be great if they could introduce a "dark chocolate" type of flavour in future!)
Homy italian restaurant in craig road, the cashier lady was so nice and the pasta here pretty much is a buikd your own. Had the tagliatelle with italian sausage. Really good pasta, one of the more affordable as well. Long strands al dente tsgliatelle, tossed thoroughly in the sauce with generous crumbs of sausage 4.25/5
