Grilled chicken breast with roasted black sesame sauce served with a side of sliced sengkuang, wakame and cherry tomato salad. Reasonably priced for the portion, taste okay. But it took too long to be serve.
Hard to go wrong with vinegared Japanese rice and fresh salmon slices! I liked the slight blowtorch blaze on the rice, plus the added texture and flavours from the heap of tobiko and crispy seaweed flakes sitting atop the rice, as well as the refreshing shredded cucumber and sweet tamago slices on the side. Comes with iced lemon tea too.
This place has been around for quite some time now but i was never one to follow food trends as they usually end in disappointment but eventually we gave into this place's canteen gimmick. Absolutely loved the decor which reminded me of what our school canteen could look like with a substantial budget ;). The boyfriend had the Oyako don (Rm18.90) which i didn't personally enjoy as japanese food is my least fav, but the boyfriend said that he was not crazy about this dish either. I on the other hand, ordered a mushroom swiss cheese melt ( beef ) RM 21.90, but they mistakenly served me a chicken burger. I was slightly disappointed but was famished at that point, but the friendly staff made it up and gave us two scoops of vanilla ice cream. The swiss cheese married with the mushrooms and onions was amazing but i wasn't too crazy about the chicken patty. Why go for chicken when there's beef ;)! The latte, however is one of the best ones that i have tasted out there, and priced at RM11, no complains there. We also ordered an iced Mocha, not pictured here, priced at RM13, and honestly, it was one of the worst mocha that I have ever tried in a long time. Would i go back? Yes! The menu looks intriguing enough for me to go back and try out the other options. For this meal, I would rate this place 6/10

Located in Taman Paramount, the cafe has an old-skol local vibe which sets it apart from many. From tables to chairs and deco, you can feel like you've gone back to time, reminiscing the days before mobile gadgets take over our lives π this place is like being in a kopitiam, but for urbanites. Coffee was alright, quite floral but kinda milky.

Plenty of paleo friendly food on their menu, I couldn't even decide what I want. The waitress helped me with some recommendations. So I chose this eggplant stack. It's something like an eggplant burger because they substitute the usual burger bun with grilled eggplants. Bacon strips, sunny side up, beef burger patty, and your usual lettuce and tomatoes for burgers were sandwiched in between a whole eggplant cut in half and topped with some pomegranates. Served with a side of delicious crispy sweet potato fries.
Verdict: Not really very healthy. It's great how it's Paleo and everything. But some parts were quite oily and salty. Especially the sweet potato fries. It's also a mystery to me whether it's baked or deep fried. I'll assume the fries were oven baked. Amazing beef patty though. Tender and juicy. It would be better if they served some side salad with this or have more lettuce in the "burger". The food here isn't very cheap as well.

Nice and cosy, with a hint of the olden days. Definitely worth going back!
