They should make it more transparent on the price cause I went into the shop thinking all I need to pay is that $29.90++ but who knows I have to top up $10++ for the soup base (aka the pot)... And it's something you MUST pay for, (isn't it FISHY) if not how I steamboat lol. There is only one fish per pot (which they will cut it into two to put into 2 different soup base). The free flow ingredients is not worth $29.90 at all. And the soup base took pretty long to start boiling. Half the time we were trying to wait for the food to be cooked.

The sliced pork they gave are mostly fats. However I must say they are very generous with the portion. Like when we wrote there 1 x Potatoes, the amount of potatoes they gave are good enough to serve up to 4 pax. Free flow of ice cream too! Would highly recommend to order the mala soup base for more shiok feel (level 2 is good enough!). The rest are kinda salty after a while 😂 Good place to dine at as a group but then again i think there're many other steamboat restaurants out there that are much more worth of the price.

Booked a table for 7 at 7.30pm on a Wednesday night.
Got seated at 8.30pm instead and ordered immediately
Food came around 9pm
Took 15 minutes to settle the bill

Super disappointed with the service and the food was too salty. Had to add clear soup 3 times to get a drinkable level.

We had 1 for 1 buffet 29.90++ weekend rate for 4 pax.
Seabass was our choice and we choose mala, sour vegetables, mushroom & spicy fragrance for soup base.
My favourite is sour vegetables and spicy fragrance soup. Each soup come with half grilled fish.
Free ice cream after meal.
I will be back again.

I’ve never had grilled fish buffet but this is just a (usually spicy) soup base with a grilled fish on top. Then you can add your own ingredients. We started off with pork belly, prawns and various vegetables which don’t seem like big portions.

You can order more but be warned - subsequent portions can be big! Go easy on the carbs too so you don’t fill up (hand pulled noodles pictured were great in the broth!) There is technically a S$10/100 grams surcharge for wasted food though we didn’t get charged. Don’t order too much though!

The S$39 grilled fish buffet is a great deal (also on Burpple Beyond). We chose the mala (left) and spicy fragrant fish which was tender, full of spice and not for the faint of heart. The wait is long on a
Saturday night so make reservations. Otherwise service is fast and effective. I also didn’t realize you get your choice of dozens of ingredients from fresh prawns to pork balls and Chinese cabbage. We’d definitely visit again.

Sweat out your long week over an exciting, tongue-numbing Sichuan dinner of Chong Qing grilled fish with trusty friends or colleagues. To get the most bang out of your buck, the Dual Flavour Grilled Fish Buffet (from $26.90) which sees two whole fishes cooked in two different styles of your choice, like hot and sour and spicy fragrant mala. P.S. This buffet entitles you to unlimited side dishes, like fried yam, beef and more!
