From the Burpple community

Miss Popular was packed full when we arrived on Tuesday afternoon, but we were able to get our hands on the S'mores Pie and Raspberry Tart ($8 each) and boy, it took me on a JOURNEY that even Chris Columbus would envy. The solid cookie crust of the S'mores vs the crumbly tart base. The thick, rich choccy with caramelised graham chunks vs a fairy-light, tangy sponge. The hug of marshmallow fluff vs the elegant blueberry topping. Different like sky and sea, night and day, yet completing each other in their own divine way. ✨

Our usual brunch spot. Spacious cafe with pretty consistent food. The giant pancake is one of our favourites as well!

Here’s a belated food update post from last weekend!

@columbuscoffeeco has a huge variation of brunch meal dishes and we’re so glad to pick a few to share, can boldly proclaim the banana butterscotch pancake definitely my fav of all! 💟

✨Smoked Salmon Benny ($20.30)
✨Creamy Mushroom & Sourdough ($15 + $2 scrambled egg)
✨Mushroom Bacon Carbonara ($20.40)
✨Banana Butterscotch Pancake ($19.80)

Don't be fool, it looks ugly but it's delicious. I don't know that Brussels sprouts can be yummy to be. What a pleasant surprise.

Chicken is normal. I thought it could be alot more tender. Average.

My order of Salmon Soba Noodles ($19.30) was not exactly what I was expecting. Perhaps I should have checked out photos of this dish from others before actually ordering it but I was hoping for cold soba noodles instead. However, this dish was created as a pasta dish as the buckwheat noodles was served dry, with a poached salmon by the side, a portion of shimeji mushrooms and the best item on this plate, the crispy egg with a generous sprinkle of furikake. What was let down by this dish has got to be the noodles as it was soggy and lumpy, totally without any al dente texture.
