This Mentaiko Belachan Prawn Pasta didnt really sit well with me, likely because both the strong flavours of mentaiko and belachan didnt come out, and it resembles more of a light carbonara. Prawn was also slightly mushy and didnt bring out the strong grilled flavours. For $18.90, may have expected a little more. Acoustics is slightly loud here, and its still serving a crowd at 2-3pm.

We waited a good 20mins for this Berries Ricotta. I love how thicc it is, crusty on the outside and like fluffy pillows inside. The lavendar fragrance also lingers lightly with the ice cream and berries. Definitely worth the rave about it and would come back just for this!! ($14.90)

Crispy on the edges, fluffy on the inside πŸ₯ž Super good rum sauce that accompanied it! Must try!!

A few favourites missed the mark (the mentaiko belachan pasta was actually tepid) and a new dish I tried - the Cray Roll - was void of flavours.
BUT the Kaya, Coffee Butter remains as good as remembered. I am all for butter, and that touch of coffee just made it better.
And their coffee is impressive, as usual.
The times I tried the new menu were good, so let’s hope Sunday was just an exception. 🀞🏼

Curious Palette was crowded as usual. Two of my preferred dishes are the mentaiko belacan pasta with prawns, which was creamy, rich but the fine texture of the pasta prevented it from being overly heavy. The addictive fried cauliflower with curry provided a pop in the mouth. Something that my friends and I all agreed on was that the coffee/ tea provided was of good standard!

The cabbage boosts a natural sweetness to it, while the toasted nuts add a nutty, smoky aftertaste. The dish is also accompanied with an umami creaminess of the seaweed butter, and a perfectly poached egg to harmonise the various components. .
