The oldtime Decanter has always turned out good food at decent prices, and this branch does no different. Had the blackboard special sandwich, which comes in wholemeal ciabatta, with wedges and a tiniest mount of coleslaw. The beef steak slices leaned towards the chewier texture, but did quite well flavour wise. Warm cheese was melted over the pillowy bread, and that helped cover up in whatever department the meat lacked. The Mushroom Soup (RM8), wild mushroom-style, nailed it — most certainly because I can't remember the last time I paid RM8 for quality soup (and not Campbell's lol). The ambience has always come across like that of an old colonial home, and it's one that just about anyone can learn to appreciate.
