Part of their cooked specialties menu, these drunken chicken served in 4s were decently tender albeit a tad raw. They added chicken essence in this, so you get that herbal-like savory flavour.

Thank you @dingxianhotpot for having us and @brandcellar for the kind invite! 🙆🏻‍♀️

Looked a little dry, but the fish was actually firm to the bite and sufficiently tender. Think the batter could be just a teeny bit thinner and lighter, but the mala chili helped to spice up the whole dish a lot. It actually reminded me of barbecue stingray! Apart from their signature steamboats, Ding Xian has a variety of cooked food options like this.

There are 5 soup bases to choose from - we picked bak kut teh which had a well-balanced sweetness with strong herbal flavour, and a pretty spicy blazing magma (Japanese miso) that’s good for dipping your meats in. There’s also clear chicken soup, tomyum and Sichuan mala soup, made from their secret recipe which uses 28 spices and ingredients!

The hotpot ingredients were fresh and pretty affordable (prices start from $2) - we particularly loved the iberico pork collar ($5)! Other than that, there’s also cooked side dishes. Personal favourite was the Seasonal fiery mala Fish ($10.80), crisp, meaty and the mild spiciness proved to be very addictive!

Thank you @dingxianhotpot /@brandcellar for having us and @cweizhi for extending the invite!

Wasn’t exactly muah chee, as its texture leaned more towards something like a harder jelly. The yuzu flavour wasn’t strong in this too, I’d skip this and try others instead!

More and more steamboat places popping up and at Suntec, Eat at 7 has their new steamboat concept, Ding Xian Hotpot! 5 broth options and we went with the spicy Blazing Magma Soup (Japanese miso) and non-spicy Herbal Bak Kut Teh. We liked the BKT as it was more drinkable, with sweetness from a bunch of Chinese herbs like dried sugarcane, xue li, dang gui, etc. Prices for the fresh ingredients are relatively affordable - go for their tender Iberico Pork Collar ($5 for 6 pieces)! As an opening promotion, they have a 1 for 1 lunch set going at $12.90 from this Monday till Friday.

Newly opened hotpot place. I was drawn to their opening promotion 1 for 1 at $12.90++. My colleague and I had bak ku teh soup broth. Mine was the chicken set, hers was the pork set. Overall its decent portion. Free flow of cordiments. Their opening lunch promotion 1 for 1 is till 11 May. Add $0.50 for rice. It was full house at 12+pm. Who can resist a reasonable deal?
