Fat Cow

1893 Wishlisted
~$60/pax
FAT COW first opened its doors in October 2011. The word “FAT” in FAT COW stands for luxury and indulgence, and is also a play on the word “Fatt” which in Mandarin dialect means prosperity. Spanning slightly over 3,500 sq ft, the restaurant’s design takes a contemporary approach to the Japanese “Wabi-Sabi” concept - the art of finding beauty in things modest, simple and humble.

Miyazaki a4 chateaubriand

$88 for sandwich, appetiser (miso soup, spinach and chawanmushi) and ice cream

Super good and tender and the bread also almost melted in our mouths. I really liked this.

Highly recommended!

Was thinking if I should take the plunge and order the cheesecake ($14++). #yolo it was and the cheesecake was not bad! Was half expecting they will give a sliced cheesecake but it turned out to be in a bowl and the texture was mildly hard (you have to push the spoon in to scoop out the cheesecake). There were many yuzu bits so you get a bit of the sour taste in your mouth with every bite. Not sure if it was worth $14++ though.

Once a year affair with Fat Cow, especially worth it with the Entertainer app. Ordered the donburi ($98++) as the rest were beyond my budget. As usual, the taste of all the ingredients were top-notch and the reason why I keep coming back for more. The foie gras was perfect, had to save it for the last. You will know it when you eat it. A definite must-eat!

Just rice seasoned with their "fat shoyu". More underwhelming than expected. To be sure, this small bowl is $8, pricier than most rice meals.
