Formosa Delights is quite dependable for handmade noodles lah. The meat and the noodles were both acceptable, but nothing memorable.
Hakka style.
客家擂茶
Handcrafted assembly with different ingredients which is prepared separately.
Add the green tea, stir and enjoy.
Not bad indeed.
Hakka style.
客家三宝
Stuffed eggplant aubergine, bitter gourd and taukwa (firm tofu).
Not bad.
Yummy chicken rice always.
(Tender steamed chicken meat & Fluffy rice).
Taste as good as it looked.
I got this to be healthy, but it was quite disappointing. The "tea" was so diluted that it felt more like water. The only good thing is that aside from white rice and brown rice, they also offer pumpkin rice and olive rice. However, i doubt i will have this again

Herbal Soup at Food Republic Causeway Point is no exception. Ranging from Lotus Root with Pork Ribs Soup $4.80 to Cordycep Ginseng Chicken Soup $6.50.
🔶
The Lotus Root with Pork Ribs soup pictured here was subtly sweet, and is said to dispel heat, nourish lungs and liver. This soup paired well with brown rice.

Pictured here, we see the chef, fully concentrated on shaving the noodles of precise length and making each strain fly into a pot of boiling water. There is no MSG in any of the dishes prepared here. When the business started in 1988, the owner, Henry, did it for the love of this delicious noodle – from the preparation and making of the noodles to the cooking of it.

Whenever I walked past food republic, the smell of this dish always attracted me, therefore, I decide to try it. At first glance, it looks super delicious and the smell of it was unforgettable. But when I took my first bite, it was sooooo salty and does not taste like what I imagined it to be. Although the Hor fun was very chewy and has that charred taste to it, the sauce was not to my liking. The sauce was very salty and is quite jelat. The beef was a little too tough and does not have much taste to it which was quite disappointing. Overall, this was quite a bad experience for me as it does not really suit my liking.
Lixin Teochew Fish ball noodles ($4.30) has been consistently good in producing QQ satisfying fishballs! The quality of noodle sometimes varies in the different branches and I like the noodles (not cooked for too long so the chewiness is still there) at the BreadTalk HQ branch best! Note for a limited time only, if you use visa for payment, you can get 50cents discount and pay $3.80 for this bow of yummy noodle! Xoxo, wet tissue no have
Something light today. Don't really like coming over here to eat because the food here is really expensive 🙊
That's how it felt in my hand. I ordered four items and extra rice, and it became this abomination. I felt like I was a competitive eater.
The Wanton Char Siew Noodle ($4.50) had springy noodles, which was easy to chew, and yet springy at the same time. The Char Siew meat was roasted to perfection, and with the sweet sauce over it, it compliments the whole dish. The Soya Chicken Rice ($4.00) had soft and succulent chicken meat, and again with the sweet sauce, it makes the whole dish really delicious. When you mix the sauce, meat and rice together and dip in with garlic chilli sauce, it’s simply too good to resist! Last dish is the mix of both char siew & roasted pork with rice ($5.50). The roasted pork meat was juicy and with the char siew, this is a roast pork meat paradise. Yummy! 😍
