Erm not nice again. Korean TV always presents this as how shiok. In reality the noodles are so hard. It's always a chore going through this.

Quite disappointing. A good jjamppong can be so satisfying. Although Hansik is quite decent, this dish was quite amateur, like hawker level.

Ginseng chicken soup is one of the favourites here at hansik. Just read Google reviews and u will see alot of reviews on their ginseng chicken soup.

The soup was quite tasty and it wasn't very salty. My wife who usually loses her appetite when the food isn't nice, drank finish the soup, it was that good.

Just like in Korea, it is served with glutinous rice under the chicken. The chicken was so soft, it melted into the soup.

Read Many good reviews on hansik but never had the chance to come. Finally today have the chance as my wife finally relented to eat at a Korean bbq place.(girls with long hair will understand)

Decided to have the BBQ spicy chicken. The chicken was soft and tender, and tasted fresh. Served with chunks and chunks of chicken thigh cubes. The sauce wasn't very spicy and goes so very very well with the rice.

This cozy neighbourhood restaurant serves authentic Korean food. The pajeons are crispy and fragrant and the stews are comforting. They also serve banchan with free refills.

Arrived at the restaurant just before noon and already a short queue. Tried the Jjangmyeon and it does not disappoint. The noodles were Q and has a chewy texture. Portion can be bigger though.

COLD BUCKWHEAT NOODLE - BEEF ($12)
Deciding to take a leap of faith, I skipped my regular stews & tried naengmyeon for the first time &๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿฅบ it has now become my favourite korean noodle dish.

Slurping the chewy noodles with the icy sweet & tangy beef bone broth๐ŸงŠ was indeed a refreshing experience!

Standard army stew, packed full of ingredients and best shared with 2-3 people. Comforting meal on a cold day.

Pancake was so-so, not crispy enough and too small (only 6 pcs). The other dishes like bbq and soups are great though, go for those instead.

Like how thin and crispy the pancake is with generous chunks of succulent squids and prawns; and lingering flavors of kimchi!

Not forgetting the free flow side dishes. Not just 3 or 4 but a whooping 7 varieties! Dishes are decently priced too and sharing portions are generous!

anywayz, was torn between lola and hansik after searching through burpple app. arguably the ROI (by plates count per meal) is higher because any self-respecting korean restaurant will serve you complimentary banchan fares. so a bigger bang for my bucks right? i know, don't judge. also because after one episodes too many of the korea drama, "let's eat 2".
.
so beef japchae i did with a very enjoyable light tasting spread of authentic korean banchan. japchae was flavorful but glass noodles short of that chewy shiokness i was hoping for. could be wetter too for that ultimate slurping effect. now am really missing Three Meals A Day in bukit timah. .

no matter, will be happy to try their other dishes again at queensway though, not kovan. ha

This is a great place for lunch due to their super affordable lunch menus. Nothing costs more than $13 and their side dish is refillable and they also give free iced tea. The spicy beef soup $10.90 is extremely tasty and has a strong beefy taste with large chunks of beef briskets and tang hoon too! The kimchi seafood pancake is really good too ($9.90 I think) and has prawns and sotong inside. If you're craving for something light, the herbal chicken soup is pretty good as well and they give you half a tender and soft chicken!

๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜ Spicy tofu stew with SUPER ALOT OF INGREDIENTS like mussels, squid, mushrooms, egg, enoki and duh tofu hahaha โœจ Super worth it and super DAEBAK ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ #burpple

This cosy little restaurant is run by a Korean and there's always a queue during meal times. Somehow I will feel like I am in Korea whenever I dine there.

Really love this! Something that will make me crave for after a while.
