Love salted egg? šŸ³ This festive season šŸŽ„, Irvins has launched its Irvins Festive Box ($19.90), perfect for gifting šŸŽ or sharing at house parties! šŸŽ‰
.
The festive box comprises the following 🤩:
šŸ”¹ļø1x 50g Salted Egg Potato Chips
šŸ”¹ļø1x 50g Salted Egg Fish Skin
šŸ”¹ļø1x 50g Salted Egg Salmon Skin
šŸ”¹ļø1x 50g Truffle Potato Chips
.
Always love their Salted Egg Potato Chips šŸ„” - thinly sliced & fried to the perfect crisp āœØļø, coated generously with intense salted egg yolk šŸ³. Go for their fish skin & salmon skin for an extra crunch! ā¤ļø
.
I must say that their truffle flavour was rather intense šŸ–¤! Enjoyed the earthy note amidst the savoury flavour of the chips! Really dangerously addictive! 🤤

Instant salted egg noodle, dam nice and delicious. salted egg with dam is very delicious.

The snacks include two new salmon skin range with the Black Pepper ($7) and Herbal Chicken ($7), the former coated with a punchy robust peppery taste while the latter is a unique herbal flavour that is not commonly seen elsewhere. Additionally, there are two new gyoza skin flavours of Korean BBQ ($8) and Aged Cheddar ($8). The Korean BBQ is especially interesting with the smoky savoury taste that has sesame seeds sprinkled on it.

Even Singapore's favourite salted egg chips brand, IRVINS (@irvinsaltedegg ), has jumped on the bandwagon!

Presenting their first-ever Yam Lava Mooncake! At SGD40, you get a total of eight mooncakes in a box wrapped in a beautiful Japanese-style cloth šŸŽ. There are two types of fillings to choose from: yam and mung bean. However, you cannot mix the two flavours within the same box. Fortunately, since I'm a big yam fan, that wasn't a problem for me.
.
To my delight, the yam paste was satisfyingly oozy and sweet ☺. The distinct earthy flavours were very prominent too. As for the lava salted egg yolk šŸ³, while it wasn't as oozy or as much in amount, I felt the balance it provided was just right. Its savouriness managed to complement the overall sweetness of the yam.
.
The mooncake skin itself was made out of activated charcoal šŸ–¤, which gave it its shiny black hue. For one, though, I felt that it was tad bit too thick. Spent quite a while chewing on the skin, as a result. Nevertheless, I think this combination of yam and salted egg yolk is one that is done right šŸ‘. Definitely one of the more interesting mooncakes I've encountered this year, especially since I'm a salted egg fan as well!

Man I’m dissapointed, the crust was pretty mushy and salted egg flavour was mild. Back to eating the fish skins then šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø
