not a fan of tteokbokki but i was really craving ramyun so 😭😭 anyway the sauce was slightly spicy so it wasn’t too sweet for me!

(Throw back to) Happy International Fried Chicken Day!

Which fried chicken did you have? Jinjja Chicken has always been one of my favorite fast food-style korean fried chicken, simply because it’s tasty at a wallet-friendly price. There are 3 different flavours to choose from; soy garlic, yangnyeom and monster. If you can’t make up your mind, you can ask for a mix of flavours!

We had the mix of soy garlic and yangnyeom. Although the batter of the fried chicken isn’t as thick as most you would find, they are generous with the sauce coating. The soy garlic is good for people who prefer a balance between sweet and savoury, with a hint of garlic. However, it might come across slightly salty. If you are tempted for a spicy kick without wanting to be overkilled by the heat, go for the yangnyeom. Made with a secret recipe from South Korea, the tang of this sweet, sticky and spicy sauce will surely add on to your addiction of their fried chicken! Some might not prefer this, but I actually enjoyed the sesame seeds sprinkled on the batter because it also contributes a hint of roasted nuttiness.

The other thing that I must have at Jinjja is the sesame seaweed fries. It’s not overly greasy or salty, and the seaweed and chili flakes used are bigger, solid pieces, where you get to taste the freshness.

14 April, also commonly known as Black Day in Korea where all singles would gather in black clothing to celebrate their singlehood. This year, in keeping the annual Black Day celebration at Jinjja Chicken, they will be serving, for the first time, Jjajang Tteobokki! Available at all their outlets from 1 till 21 April 2021, this limited edition Tteobokki are served with black savoury Jjajang sauce instead of Spicy Gochujang.

The ram-don comprises of not just very springy noodles but also quality beef cubes from Australia! It’s tender and chewy! Be careful of the chicken wings as they are really spicy for non-spicy eaters. For spicy eaters like me, spiciness level is there but a little disappointed as it was cold (not heated) the time it was served! The sauce they put are a little too much for me but overall a good meal! Fries with the seaweed flakes are yummy!

Jjampong + Jjajangmyeon (2 in 1) set with tteokbokki fries, soy wings, and K-Fries (fries topped with bulgogi beef, popcorn chicken, kimchi, mayo, 2 types of cheese). For $7.50, the K-Fries was super worth it and they were not stingy with the portion of meat too. Love the wings and noodles too!

⭐️ 4/5

Stay home with Jinjja Chicken! Simply love their finger licking good drumsticks! Their Soy Garlic and Yangnyeom are fabulous. The taste is not just the outside skin of the chicken, it sips through inside the meat. Personally recommend yangneom flavour for the chicken. It is a little spicy only and if you can't take spicy, the soy flavour is not spicy at all. To differentiate them, the Yangnyeom (spicy) has black sesame seeds while the Soy Garlic has white sesame seeds! Thanks to all the food delivery man for the hard work. Risky and delivering food to our doorstep. Respect.

Requested for less sauce as previous times I tried it was too salty for me. Chicken was well seasoned and tasted really crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Currently they’re running a promotion of 12 pieces at $9.90 so go grab yours!

Pieces of fried chicken, fries and beef smothered in cheeses, chilli sauce and spring onions. Soooo goood but a must-share! Can't finish this alone. Just a mess of sinful goodness!

Korean fried chicken fast food.

Love the kimchi fries. Fried chicken was crispy and flavourful with tender flesh.

Well seasoned chicken but was definitely too salty to my liking. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re not a fan to higher in sodium food.

Got it from grabfood and omg I love the K Fries. I'm a huge fan of loaded fries, but this isn't really a conventional fries actually. Like the potatoe doesn't seem like fried. But the loada on top were damn nice. Beef bulgogi, fried chicken, Kimchi and alot of cheese and mayo. Just damn good!!! And it's quite cheap also at 6.90!!

Jinjja Chicken is a Korean fast food chain with 3 outlets in Singapore. Go for Jinjja Wings and Drumsticks and skip the Jjamppong and Jjajang Myeon. Please read my review at hungryghost.sg
