4.5 munchies: Just thinking about the Majestic BBQ Pork Noodles makes me want to visit KL more often for it. Tossed in a savoury dark sauce, the thin egg noodles were cooked al dente and had a springy texture. What absolutely smashed it for me was the caramelisation of the roast pork – sweet, smoky, and slightly crisp skin. The signature claypot lou shu fun served at this place might have failed me, but this dish was THE saving grace. #Burpproved

3 munchies: Tender roasted chicken thigh meat and chewy topokki tossed in a fiery fusion of dakgalbi sauce and gochujang. While the decadent moat of melted mozzarella was the highlight for many, the thick coating of cheese over the chicken was a tad heavy for me. In fact, the well-marinated chicken was good and spicy enough to be eaten on its own!

Caution: The Cheesy Dakgalbi is not for those who can't handle their spice, but definitely for cheese lovers.

4 munchies: I usually find the western food dishes that we get from the kopitiam downstairs are either too salty or greasy, but not this plate of chicken chop with added on pork chop for just $8.50. Not only the meats were nicely marinated, they were also grilled to moist perfection with that gorgeous brown exterior. The tender chicken was superior compared to the pork, though I’d still eat the latter anytime!

All grilled dishes come with toast, fries, and baked beans. #Burpproved #BurppleBestofTampines

4 munchies: Twice-marinated using a house-made recipe that includes stout and a variety of spices for six days, the glistening BBQ sauce contains paprika, cayenne pepper, and the residual liquid from the marination. The super tender and flavourful meat fell off the bone as soon as I took my very first bite. For a more 'shiok' experience, eat it with your hands because you would regret not licking the sticky goodness off your fingers! #Burpproved

2 munchies: The craving for some authentic roast meat was real and I decided to walk in to the closest roast meat specialty I could find at Mong Kok. It was so unfortunate that the BBQ pork and roast pork failed on me. While there was hardly any char on the char siew, the siew yuk had no crackling skin at all. Thankfully, the HK$7 top-up for the roast goose was worth it – crisp skin with juicy and tender meat.

Featuring blue cheese, burrata, and manchego, the Artisanal Cheese Platter also comes with bread, marmalade jam, olives, mustard, walnuts, dried apricot, and fresh grapes to contrast the rich, creamy flavours. The full-bodied Silver Palm 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, which is Drinks & Co's wine of the month, makes a great pairing with its saturated ripe blackberry flavours that linger nicely on the finish.

4 munchies: I always look forward to my usual order at The Daily Cut after my yoga practice at Pure Yoga. Featuring the large bowl ($15), my picks are the chicken breast, barramundi (+$1.50), romaine lettuce, broccoli, onsen egg, and sweet corn. The chicken breast is nicely marinated and never too dry; the barramundi is peppery and meaty. Portions are always generous, so why not give yourself a treat without the guilt? #Burpproved

Ditch the salad dressing because this is so good to be eaten on its own! In fact during my first 2 visits, I had no clue there were self-serve dressings available at the entrance. So I never get them anyway.

2.5 munchies: Despite being marinated in spicy tequila, lime, and paprika, the chargrilled chicken was dry and lacked the bold flavours I was hoping for. Do squeeze the whole wedge of lime because this dish needed that extra zest. The potatoes at the side were nicely roasted, though. I'd recommend you to stick to what Morganfield's is known for – RIBS!

4.5 munchies: Brined with Sichuan peppercorn for at least 30 mins, the wild Sri Lankan tiger prawns were then grilled to perfection – well-seasoned, succulent with a tinge of spice and smokiness. The sakura ebi daikon cake also made a smashing complement to the seafood, which I relished the wok hei and crunchy bits of the radish. Finished off with rich, umami tamarind-miso broth and housemade calamansi furikake topping. #Burpproved

I'd also highly recommend other seafood dishes like the Kasa-Cured Hiramasa Kingfish and Steamed Venus Clams in this homely space.

2.5 munchies: Spicy pork ribs and a combination of premium cheddar and mozzarella served in a traditional Korean iron-cast pan. Unfortunately, the thick strings of cheese that rolled around each individual rib was too heavy for me (flavour & texture wise). The gochujang used for the ribs was one-dimensional – all I could taste was just spice.

The new signature innovation also comes cut fries, corn kernels, pineapple cubes, and garlic mayonnaise. Absolute cheese lovers would dig this dish, though.

3.5 munchies: Served with sauerkraut, smoked bacon, sweet potato purée, and apple quince chutney, the Niman Ranch Pork Chop was grilled to perfection. Charred and smoky on the outside, it'd have been great if it were moist and juicy on the inside, though. The cider-sage reduction gave acidity and sweetness, complementing the rich flavour of the pork beautifully. #munchinginNY
