Perfect food to kickstart the morning, their Truffle Scrambled Eggs on Sourdough, Smoked Salmon and Smoked Dashi Cream ($15) was a truly luxurious take on an old classic. Perfuming the eggs with its distinct earthy and decadent scent, the heady flavour of truffle worked superbly well with the eggs and cream. Velvety and soft, the curds were just the right texture too - set but still magically creamy. And not forgetting the savoury yet light dashi cream which elevated the whole dish in my opinion and added a great oomph. To enjoy it, mop it all up with their smashing sourdough (good flavour, slightly sweet and chewy) and savour bits of the nicely seasoned smoked salmon in every bite.

For a long time I've held off trying these "lava croissants" cause the idea of something oozesome contained within layers of flakey pastry, in my mind, would inevitably cause those dreamy crisp flakey croissant layers to take a downward turn into a flaccid lump of baked dough.
I was so wrong.
Salted Egg and Matcha Croissants were good, but Chilli Crab Croissants were daaa bomb 🔥🦀😍. 6.5-7.5bucks/croissant

✨ Not trying to be exaggerating or what but the combination worked wonders to my palate 💖. The brioche was soft, pillowy with a lingering buttery fragrance and I must admit I have a soft spot for soft buns (pun unintended) and hence I really enjoyed this bread! The thick slab of spam added a characteristic savoury saltiness to the fragrant and flavourful fried eggs. The sriracha mayo was creamy with a mild tinge of spiciness that further enhanced the sandwich. All sandwiches here are served with a side salad, which is a refreshing note to kick start or end your meal@.

[PS: During lunch, there’s 50% off your second mains for a limited time- which means this sandwich cost just $3.50 with a purchase of another main dish ✨] .

I generally liked how the ingredients and condiments are made in-house, at least can taste 'sincerity' from the food.

Go for the Deep Fried Breaded Eggplant which came light and crunchy, paired with their house-made cold bell pepper sauce for a mild spicy kick.
Had been passing by this stall for quite some time whenever I am at Marine Parade/Tanjong Katong and been wanting to try them, considering they have pretty rave reviews on Instagram (despite only having a few posts) on their Tom Yum Seafood Pasta and I am really glad I finally got around to try this.
The Tom Yum Grilled Chicken Pasta is not listed as an item on the menu (the Tom Yum Seafood Pasta has a place on the menu), but one can easily mix and match the pasta here by choosing the sauce and "patty" option that is on the list. No regrets at all; the Tom Yum comes unadulterated here with its full on tanginess and punchy spiciness that laces around the al-dente noodles — absolutely shiok, along with the smoky grilled chicken pieces. I would probably say it's the most value-for-money Tom Yum Pasta out there, given it's just $7 at a food court (the same one that houses Roxy Laksa in Roxy Square), and even probably the best Tom Yum Pasta one can get here!
Do not forget to order this Lamb Tartare with Mustard Ice-cream when you are here! Made of finely chopped lamb and accompanied by yolk cream and smoked olive oil, this dish had a velvet creaminess that was quite memorable 👌 more on gninethree.com
Refinery Gyuniku Donburi has truffled mushroom ,marinated beef and spring onion @ 10.00 dollar ,first few bite u can taste the tender beef and juicy mushroom ,but can't finish whole bowl alone ,find it a bit too sweet ,we also trying their spicy ramen, refinery bowl ,unagi don ,this few dish all are below sgd 10.00 ,the ambience here was great ,good for a gang looking for reasonable price cafe and chit chat place !
The cut chilli and dill cuts the richness of the scrambled eggs, making it pleasantly easy to eat without feeling jelat.
I love that the croissant is buttery and crisp, even the parts topped by the scrambled eggs. Portion is generous for ladies.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nestled in a quiet Geylang neighborhood, Builders at Sims is an unpretentious cafe that serves good coffee and food at value-for-money prices. Bonus points for the enthusiastic staff too! Bring your family for a cozy meal or to get some work done during the day (there’s free Wifi). The simply named Beef ($14.90) is one of their most popular items – 24 hour sous-vide beef cheeks atop a bed of mashed potatoes and various vegetables. For something creamy and comforting, the Carbonara ($10.90) was delightfully smooth without being too cloying.
Avg price: $15 per person

The bad lighting at the outdoor seats doesn't do the dish any justice. The slow roasted lamb shoulder was super tender and flavourful! Same goes to the beef w a slightly char and crisp exterior. Which went very well with the green harissa dip.
Poached eggs on crab cakes (made solely with crab, mind you) and topped off with a curry hollandaise. Well, if this tastes as good as it sounds then we definitely have a winner on our hands! 🙌
So how'd it actually taste? It was good, but honestly I couldn't really taste the curry part of it which did feel like a bit of a let down. Everything else about it was great though! Just wish it had a bit more of a kick that I was hoping for. 🔥
