More Reviews of good food at Majestic Restaurant (Marina One)

throwback to dec fri lunch, friend got this amazing lunch buffet deal at $25 per pax. free flow alar carte sides from dumplings to xlbs to har gao & many more…. we really did overestimate our stomach appetite and was kinda forced to wiped out several plates in our belly just to prevent food wastage fees (sobs).

all in all, t’was a good experience except the last few mins of gobbling down every food LOL! fell into a deep state of food coma thereafter 🤣

Rice pretty much too much for me
Love that the pork came in bite size pieces so it’s easier to chew. Pork is also super tender !!!

I’m normally not a beef steak kinda person. But I had to give this a try. As you bite into it, the skin had a nice crisp while retaining the juice inside. It was very tender.

Enjoyed the roasted duck very much ... crispy skin and succulent meat. The signature chilled tofu was very good too. Some hits and misses for the dim sum dishes though.

🍴Really delicious #dimsum and although it’s relatively more expensive, would say that it’s worth the price for the higher quality. Our favourites were the Hakka style organic brown rice roll ($7.80) that was very unique, being a perfectly crispy roll with fresh prawn in a soft skin that paired with a tea-based sauce, and the pan fried radish cake ($5.40). Would also recommend the truffle crab meat fried rice and oyster vermicelli. The beetroot prawn dumpling ($6.80) was special but only liked by those who enjoy beetroot. We found the custard bun ($5.80) and honey pork bun ($6.80) to be a bit on the sweet side.

Excellent lobster noodles with ginger and scallion... the noodles (similar to e-fu noodles) were redolent with deep lobster flavor... the lobster was exquisitely tender and (as a bonus) extremely easy to deshell without using hands!

The more unconventional item that stood out was the fried radish roll that used a primarily western ingredient of cheese. Mushroom, chicken and cheese hardly go wrong together but to incorporate them into a fried radish roll shell worked and was tasty. Probably amplified by how delicate and finely done the radish roll was done- this is one on the dim sum menu to look out for.
Sadly the similarly categorised vegetarian dumpling with western truffle slice was not as appealing; a thick crystal skin held an almost absent truffle scent filling until biting into the black truffle slice.

The more usual radish cake was great being soft yet with enough 萝卜to be rightfully called 萝卜糕.

Another food date with the gold palates of my family (aka my maternal aunts and Mother). My 大姨 mentions her reason for acceding to my request to try a new place instead of the usual imperial treasure at Paragon; was to try a local chef’s take on the Dim Sum. Fortunately the usual siew mai is up to standard and comparable- succulent shrimps (along with pork and mushrooms) are wrapped in sublime dumpling skins. The salted egg custard bao was good even after sitting on the table for awhile.

Radish pastry with additions of cheese chicken and mushrooms! Fun and attractive new addition to your classic dim sum lunch...I may still prefer the classic but this is still pretty tasty and very creative!

I am a huge fan of noodles especially when they are done well. Really enjoyed today’s lunch. The food was good, great ambiance and the most lovely company

Love this. I think we ticked off several colour groups in terms of food today.

Made from brown rice and served with a green sauce, it’s supposedly to be Hakka style. Well, don’t judge a book by its cover as it was really yummy

I can eat one whole basket of these

Another favourite dish for the lunch course. The fish is perfect, very smooth and fresh. The sauce went very well together with the fish and it added flavour to the fish and it was not too salty.

The ribs were absolutely delicious!! Crunch asparagus. Sweet and tender pork ribs. Wow!

Dessert for the 6 course lunch. Combination of coconut ice cream, attap fruits, yam, sweet potatoes, honeydew, some chrysanthemum, etc. A little similar to chendol ingredients. This dessert is definitely a great one to freshen up the tummy after 5 dishes. A traditional dessert prepared in a different way.

There wasn't a hint of sake taste in this appetizer. Mixture of huge crab meat, mushrooms, spring onion and some vegetables. And the mini crab which looks too cute to be eaten but it is very crunchy! A classy and unique appetizer.
