Perhaps this can mark the start of a vege series here LOL

Veggie Burger [RM19.50]
✨: To my surprise, Nando’s vege option turned out great! The patty composed of black beans, carrots, and other greens, and made for a nice pairing with the tangy peri-peri sauce.
💬: Though the menu description mentioned a yogurt sauce, I barely tasted or took notice of any. I reckon as well that the burger would be fine (or even better) without the top bun. All it added was additional dryness to my bites.
Would happily order this again if the situation calls for a vegetarian meal!

Fish Prosperity Burger Medium Value Meal [RM16]
✨: Curly fries!! These are one of the many things I look forward to during the Chinese New Year. You can never have a bad curly fry 🍟 This year, McDonald's released a new version of the Prosperity Burger with a fish patty. Personally, I am a fan, but mainly because I'm a grandma and I love soft foods. It's easier to bite and chew given the absence of skin, fat, tendons, or stringy bits normally present in the chicken or beef patty. As a fish patty itself, it's nothing special. It is heavily drenched in the Prosperity black pepper sauce, pairing nicely with the zing of the raw onions.
💬: At times, the black pepper flavour gets a bit too much, but that's when the McFizz and a bit of curly fry comes in to save the day! 😂 The McFizz isn't my favourite, but it gets the job done.
If you like heat and black pepper is your jam, definitely give the prosperity burger a shot if you haven't already! If not, just go get a large order of curly fries please you won't regret it 🤤
Happy Chinese New Year! 🏮
The caramel portion stood out the most with it's strong buttery vanilla taste. The chocolate was also really decadent and you just can't stop eating at it until it's all gone. All I wish is that they provided larger pie sizes but I understand that for health reasons they have to moderate the calories of the desserts, even if that means sacrificing volume.

Zinger Waffle Burger - RM14.30(after SST)
.
Okay, so I gave it some time before I started to review this new viral KFC burger because I understand that there were several complaints(the most predominant one concerns the lack of maple syrup) and I wanted to see if KFC handled them and changed the recipe after several weeks. It turns out that this experience was pretty good overall! The waffles were thick, soft and buttery, with a hint of sticky syrupy sweetness. They resemble liege waffles rather than traditional A&W-style buttermilk waffles. The Zinger chicken thigh had the right amount of crunch but the flesh layer was too thin for my liking and enjoyment. It felt like the thigh was mostly battered skin. They fixed the lack of syrup problem(at the Sunway branch at least) and the burger had just the right amount of moistness together with the generous amount of creamy mayonnaise. Overall I would rate this a 7/10 because this burger is actually quite huge and filling. The service at the Sunway Pyramid branch is rather slow and expect to queue long because they are understaffed. I would recommend going to the nearby outlet which is just outside the shopping mall(opposite the Oasis boulevard).

Nasi Lemak Burger(RM14.95- ala carte RM16.95 - regular set meal)
Cendol Sundae Cone (RM2.50)

I know I'm late to the party for Mcdonald's Malaysia's Nasi Lemak Burger hype but there's no better time to make a national food-themed meal review than now! The Nasi Lemak burger from Mcdonald's Malaysia is a slightly reworked rendition of the Singaporean one, especially with the sambal formula being altered for Malaysian tastes. The burger itself consists of a juicy coconut-marinated chicken thigh deep fried with corn flakes topped with a fried egg, cucumbers, caramelised onions and a dollop of sweet sambal. My verdict? I have to say it smelled like an authentic Nasi Lemak when I opened the burger box. The burger looks somewhat bigger than the normal ones but the price is still rather steep. This is probably justified due to the ravenous demand for this burger. And I have to say I'm quite proud that every Mcdonald's outlet I went to never ran out of stock of this burger so that was very good! The chicken thigh was juicy and aromatic while the egg, cucumber and onions added some fresh tasty bulk to the burger. The sambal was sweet and slightly spicy, less spicy than other versions I've tasted but I understand why. This was meant to be tailored to most people in Malaysia, even those who do not prefer really spicy sambal. Plus, the subtle spicyness allows the spices of the sambal and the whole burger to come through when taking a bite. I would rate this 9/10 and this burger is available until the end of Ramadan(yay!) so why not have one now?(especially on this momentous occasion) I also had their Cendol Sundae Cone as a dessert and it was just as good as last year's.

I understand that Pepper Lunch may be 2000 and late, but believe it or not, yesterday was my first time having it. Let me clarify that I am not against dining at places that aren't halal-certified, but the thought of having to be extra careful with my choices feels so cumbersome, that I would steer clear of them most of the time. 😩 But I digress.
I have no words for this except that it made me feel contented beyond words. Hearing the ingredients sizzle was music to my ears, smelling the aroma was euphoric and mixing everything together was an ambrosia feast for the eyes. The stringy texture of the mixture from the melted cheese bowled me over the most. But on the flipside, the ingredients got a bit dry after awhile, so if I hadn't added honey brown sauce, the quality would have suffered. Yet, this is compelling enough to make want to come back to Pepper Lunch again in the future, whether it's for lunch, breakfast or dinner! (7.5/10)
Last Friday, as I was leaving my house, I decided to check my mailbox. I received a mail from Nando's. It was a complimentary gift from them. Yay to free food!
They recently came up with nine new items on the menu and we (Nando's Peri-vilege members) were allowed to redeem one item. I redeemed this burger.
It was weird, it's like eating their chicken with coleslaw and garlic bread. I love their garlic bread though, but I hate coleslaw. I even got to choose my flavour. I usually never go anywhere above mild 😅
It tasted good, it was just weird on my tastebuds. Somehow I cannot comprehend.. Then again, it's probably just me.
