Excellent choice for kids. The chicken chop is crispy and tasty and it’s good for sharing!
Nice flavour unlike some places we tried in the past! 🤫 Assam laksa has no canned fish flavour and we can taste tamarind in the Assam soup base.👌
Full fragrant CKT with generous portion of prawn, squid & chicken! Served with chilli fish sauce 😋
Finally we managed to get the seat at Madam Kwan’s at Suria KLCC. They are est. since 1977. Our KL trip won’t be completed without a visit at least once here.🤓
The place to go for true blue Malaysian flavours, stalwart Malaysian brand Madam Kwan doles out a foolproof Nasi Lemak (from RM20). This extravagant version comes brimming with aromatic coconut rice, delicious chicken curry and yummy sides like dried shrimp floss and zesty achar. This, spacious seating and air-conditioning? Worth. Every. Cent.

Have been wanting to try the food at Din Tai Fong but couldn’t, but now with the No Pork Menu I would consider my food craving fulfilled. The dumplings were AMAZING and the service was fast. Accompanied by a great view of KL. Dinner was spectacular 😍😘👍👍💖💖💋 #dinbydintaifung #dimsum #chinesefood #happytummy #yummy #burpple #burppletastemaker #burpplekl
Have always wanted to try the noodles and dim sum at Din Tai Fong but couldn’t, now with the pork free Chinese food at Din, mission fulfilled and tummy happy 😋💖💖👍😍
So I do get some of my malay friends complaining how it’s so hard to find a good dim sum place around. And I think Dolly Dim Sum has made dreams come true. They almost taste like it has pork (except it’s chicken *excuse me*). And love love love the Golden Fried Rice. Topped with fish roe and a generous amount of fresh prawns it’s the perfect fried rice ever. Period. Love how it’s really egg-y and not drenched in oil although you do need to fork out a bit for a plate of fried rice but it’s worth every penny. Take a shot at their Egg Custard Bun (With Salted Egg Yolk fillings) which has a good ratio of pau to Egg Yolk sauce hahahah and their crispy Yam Croquette!
P.S: Visited their Avenue K outlet a couple of times, and I must say the interior is super pretty and they have the perfect natural lighting! ❤️
Avg Price: RM 30
The rice still takes centerstage which is fragrant and of great texture. The curry chicken which I remembered used to be chicken thigh but now is of another part. Pretty tasty too but if I have a choice, I would prefer a well seasoned fried chicken as the curry chicken is also rich in coconut which can make the meal a tad generic..

Let me be honest here, I'm not a fan of rojak, specifically the Chinese kind of rojak, complete with fruits and sweet sauce. You won't catch me ordering a plate or Chinese rojak here in Singapore.
However, when I was reading the menu in Madam Kwan's while in KL, the dish "Softshell Crab Rojak" somehow called out to me.
So, I ordered the dish. 🥗
When the dish came, it looked really photogenic. I dug in and took a bite of the crab. It was crispy, light and nicely fried. 👍🏻
I then went for the fruits, I took what looked like an Apple cube and bit into it. Turns out it was a turnip! It tasted so sweet and juicy! The sauce was a good balance of sweet and salty that complimented the fruits nicely. Sedap! 😋
In the rojak there's Apple, Turnip, Cucumber, Tau Pok, Peanut and Rose Apple.
Overall, good appetiser and totally worth ordering! 😁
The Har Gow was delicate and fine with fresh prawns. The salted fish bun was nicely pan fried and tasty. The Siew Mai was ok but the weakest of the 3. In all, pretty good but pricey dim sum. #burpple
