Korean BBQ has always been that iconic meal featured in the K Drama which shows the stars enjoying that perfectly cooked meat with fat melting so seductively or the crispy skin exterior from that slab of meat is the part that you’re most excited for! Recently, there is a new Korean BBQ concept which marries together the 2 ingredients which is an everlasting pairing of flavours and that is Apple & Pork! Yes, that’s right it’s Apple Samgyupsal! They have 3 locations to choose from but the one that opens till late is in Taman Desa.. We ordered the Apple Platter (RM88) that includes 120g of Apple Samgyupsal, 120g Apple Moksal, 120g Apple Hanjungsal, apple wrap( slices of apple), sausage and apple salad with other accompaniments which is free flow.. It’s always great fun to watch the cooking process been done for you and the servers are really attentive with taking extra care in wrapping the apple wraps with your preferred cut of meat and with its special sauce on top of it! It truly helps to exemplify your eating experience! Truly worth it! The pork was perfectly cooked till tender with a crispy exterior and the fattiness of it help to balance the sweetness and the crunchy acidic onions that is wrapped around it! The platter is great for 2 person to share! You can also order other sides to add on if you still have space for it! Not to miss is their signature drink; Apple Magoli!
The Wang Galbi was one of my favourite meats of the night. Tender and so flavourful!
Crunchy sweet apple slices with the flavourful tender pork meat. Topped it up with a dash of sesame oil or apple honey.
There’s unlimited side dishes offered. My favourite would be their house made stir fry kimchi and the sesame salad!
Pair your meal with their signature Apple Makgeolli, made with 100% fresh apple juice. Best to drink when it’s still cold.
Their Joomuk Bap shouldn’t be missed! These rice balls were so yummy. Rice, pork and seaweed. I couldn’t stop eating them.
Apple Samgyupsal just opened their new outlet at Jaya One! We had the Apple Platter (RM88) that comes with 3 types of meat, sausage, tteok and apple slices.
A little crispy at the outside, soft and chewy inside. Naiseeeee!
Long queues snake down the staircase at Seoul Korea in the evenings but for their top-notch grills, the hour-wait is worth it. The residential location meets modest furnishings for a homey setup, which means it's an appropriate time to dress down in shorts and flip-flops! Both their booth seats and BBQ set options are best shared between four to six — prime for dinner with a few friends. Order the value-for-money Mixture-BBQ (from RM110 for four) that yields ample portions of chicken and pork grilled tableside. If you're feeling generous, this is also the place to try Jeon-Tong Bulgogi (hot plate bulgogi, RM39). Seared with sweet onions on a hot plate, the tender beef slices slicked in dark sauce pack a punch! Mains aside, this restaurant makes our list for its supreme banchan selections. It's a neverending supply of nine different plates, filled with refreshing cucumber kimchi, pickled lotus root and candied peanuts among others.

Above the busy streets of Taman Desa, this Korean barbecue establishment is even busier serving a slew of lunchtime patrons. You can count on Seoul Korea to appease your appetite for grilled meats in the afternoon. Most are here for their special lunch menu, which sees a Hot-Plate Bulgogi BBQ Set priced at only RM33 for two — ideal for a fun, pocket-friendly date! Available with beef or pork, this set includes two bowls of rice and a plentiful supply of banchan (side dishes). In terms of banchan, Seoul Korea emerges one of our favourites for its diverse plates, from marinated cold chicken to shredded seaweed and pickled lotus root. Also spot a rarely found Jju-Kkumi Ppok-geum Bab Set (pan-broiled baby octopus rice, RM14). The quick meal of baby octopus slathered in Korean-style hot sauce is a must-order if you enjoy spicy seafood!
Avg price per person: RM25
It says refillable tit bits but there is limit to it. Long queue due to the affordable price. However, both husband and wife owner wasn't that friendly. Kinda rush us & halau people out once finish eating.
