Decent, slightly tasteless dashi fluffy rolled egg although supposed to be savoury. Their preparation seems a bit different from the normal tamagoyaki where normally it would be slightly sweet and custard kind. The egg white can be seen and the texture not custard like, more like normal omelette.

Lucky seven pieces of bold and briny mini squid. It was a memorable taste. Delicate with a mini umami explosion from within the squid. I want more please!

4 pieces of slurpy oyster cooked with melted butter sauce. Aromatic, buttery and succulent. Sauce is awesome. Can paired it with the soba too.πŸ™ƒ

Good old classic soba with cold dipping soba sauce for the one who are unable to take spicy or just like it traditional. Negi, sesame and wasabi were given too. Soba sauce mixture may be a bit light here. Perhaps, was due to having the taste of their signature sauce first which kinda overpower the tastebud.

Freshly handmade buckwheat soba with every order that is best consumed within 45 minutes as stated on their webpage. The reason behind was that soba gets dry and brittle overtime, so is best to consume it fast to enjoy the chewy and grainy texture of it. For me, I find that the noodle was just alright and not smooth enough. Maybe cause I had better one before.
Loads of plain sliced pork and spam of seaweed flakes were placed on top of the soba. Signature savoury and mild spicy dipping soba sauce matches excellently for their soba. One dip is enough to tell you that this is an awesome sauce. In fact, the sauce is even better than the classic one. Their signature sauce really helps to kill the dull taste of the soba.

This popular eatery left me with some strong views. The soba was powdery and the sliced pork though attractive was chilled, so that's not good. The spicy dipping sauce is unique to them. Overall the food here wasn't great but I appreciate the novelty.

Cheap and good. The fry was light and the taste quite different.

Smaller than I thought but very good. It's definitely brinier than normal oysters, but at a level I could still tahan. The seasoning and the garnish did wonders too.

Highly recommend for you to make a reservation before going down as there was a long queue for walk-in customers.

Being there for the first time, it’s the logical choice to order their signature, the Reiwa Pork Soba ($12) which comes with a decent portion of noodles, slices of pork and the mildly spiced chilli oil dip. You can taste the freshness from each slurp (or bite), which makes the dining experience so satisfying. To complement your noodles, I will recommend you get the Assorted Tempura ($12) that is battered with buckwheat flour before being deep fried. The batter gives it a nice airy texture without being too cloyingly oily, perfect with a dip of the salt by the side. We were thoroughly pleased with the meal and will return in future again to try out their other dishes in the menu.

Pretty decent Tori Katsu curry although I did think that it was a bit pricey. It could be because of the location at a tourist attraction, because I remember eating Nigaata Bento a few years back at Tampines Hub and it was affordably priced around $7. I must say that you have to really manage expectations. This is definitely not comparable to Katsu curry one can find in a restaurant setting. But it’s decent enough for the standards of a small chain like Umi sushi.
