- Uncertain about the hygiene and the service
Informed the staff that the plate served was dirty and requested for a new plate, there was remnants not washed properly, but staff says it's not dirty, just a hole?? and never came back with a plate. Poor service. Regret signing up and paying for the membership. Staff should not throw their unhappiness to work at customers.

- Disappointed with the food
Ordered the divine chicken pot recommended on display, but the chicken had gamey taste, and the entire dish is super salty we rather waste the $18 than eat it, would not recommend it.

Filled with lots of lala in hotplate and you would be surprised with the chefโ€™s special broth here.

It really heat up your taste bud as you have it.

Blend of Chinese style of steamed fish with Thai sauce, get ready for some tingling sensation on your taste buds.

Jiak served the 1st kind of squid ink beehoon in Singapore. Comes with generous amount of seafoods on hotplate such as lala, prawn and squid.

Even though it was served with soup, but it will get absorbed pretty fast as you mixed them.

super generous with EVERYTHING!! there was so much seafood (squid, prawns, fish, fish cakes) plus the amount of bee hoon was nuts... the soup was not bad quite salty and a bit like a chicken soup base?? nothing special. i think what made it stand out is rly the generous portions given itโ€™s a restaurant setting!! this is a zi char place so they also serve individual zi char dishes alongside the ala carte rice and noodle dishes. def worth a try.

Want to have Zichar food in the comfort of an aircon environment? I only know of this one Jiak and West Coz Cafe. Both sport very similar menus. Ordered fish head curry, hot plate tofu, egg omelette, sweet and sour pork and chilli Kang Kong. All dishes were of an acceptable standard.

๐Ÿ’ต: $12

๐Ÿค”: Call us basic but we always get kang kong or sweet potato leaves when we have tze char and the one sees a wetter rendition of it, different but just as good!

๐Ÿ’ต: $10

๐Ÿค”: A must get IMO!!! Not sure how, but there's a slight wok hei scent in this, making it extra addictive

๐Ÿ’ต: $20

๐Ÿค”: Love the variety of ingredients in this, such as the beancurd skin and taupok whcich I don't reckon is usually in curry fish??? Shared this amongst 4 along with 2 other dishes and we were pretty full, especially since the fish was really plump and meaty

A new addition to their menu, the slipper lobster black bee hoon on promotion ($20) was delicious. The dish comes with 6 halves of the fresh chunks of slipper lobster combined with the powerful "wok hei" of the black squid ink bee hoon is sure to satisfy your tummy.

Tried the mee goreng once, it was definitely one of the better ones out there. Went back again to try the hor fun. Was expecting it to be better... but it was really mediocre and starchy

Look at the beautiful colors. Even with the condiments, the fishy smell was quite strong. I personally enjoyed it, but I guess it really depends your own tolerance for the โ€˜fishyโ€™ smell. Was pleasantly surprised to find that Jiak is a halal restaurant because the dishes are so chinese. Other dishes I enjoyed were the har jeong gai and the mee goreng. The noodles were not over cooked and super flavorful. I would return to family friendly Jiak again. Do make a reservation, it was fully packed on a Friday night.
