First time eating at Tai cheong! usually just get takeaway

scrambled eggs- were really light and fluffy! the perfect texture. They had a milky taste that made it really delicious 10/10

spam fries- has a weird chewiness and aftertaste... 5/10

Charsiew bolo bun- one of my favourite items! perfect if you heat it up again at home and it is extra crispy 9/10

Chicken pie- love the cookie crust of it! always melts in my mouth. Don’t like the filling as much though.. too creamy for me 8/10

Pandan egg tart- Has a nice aroma and fragrance that in my opinion gives it an edge above the normal one! the crust is very crumbly and melts in your mouth 10/10

Quick service for dine in and nice ambience

Comes with Soft Bun, 2 eggs, Hot Teh/Kopi. The food and drinks were good! Buns were crispy and soft at the same time, prefer this to Ya Kun’s toasts. Their eggs are less runny though. Overall a yummy meal 🍞🥚🥚☕️

However, the service was dismal in comparison. I was standing there for almost 10 minutes, but nobody told me what’s the “right side of the queue”. The queue only formed when I was about to order, but I had to re-queue. Then I was left standing like a fool waiting for my meal, even though they could have told me to take a seat first. It was my first time there, how was I supposed to know how the service works zzz. Disappointing service 👎🏻

From Claypot & Stewed Soups (01-29). Ginger infused sesame oil chicken garnished with spring onions. Portion was very filling, chicken was tender and savory. Cheap and well worth the price ($5.50)

Delicate, juicy, succulent. So delicious. Worth every trip to the gym. Burn. Eat. Burn.

Mad cravings for luncheon meat and tomato soup.
Hearty tomato broth to drive the chills away. Egg yolks too much to handle. Could only gorge one. Luncheon meat was my "once in a blue moon" lustful indulgence. 🔸️🔸️
A happy but most ladylike burp!

I came here Thursday night around 7 pm. The line is already long. I think we waited here around 20 minutes less or more. They gave us the menu while queueing.

So here it is what we ordered:

- The Tom Yum Seafood is a must eat if you go to the Thailand restaurant, I think. This is definitely a champion. Nothing was wrong. It’s quite spicy in your throat, but that’s what ‘thai food’ supposed to bring the feel to you. Inside got 1 cherry tomato, 1 prawns, 1 long fish meat, 3 or more (idk) squid. We ordered clear soup one. The taste was good.

- Green Curry Chicken ($8) is quite unique for me, maybe because I’ve never taste it before. The coconut milk is really overpowering the taste for me. Chicken was tender and they gave quite a portion.

- Phad Thai ($6) was surprisingly good. Usually I didn’t like kuetiaw type and so called, but this one has the feel that makes me want to eat and eat again. The portion is also quite worth it.

- Another one was Stir-Fried Minced Pork with Basil ($6), it’s a little bit salty but I like it, the meat and the onion with a little bit of veggie, it’s good if you eat it with rice, or without (for me) hehehe.

- We also tried Sticky Rice Mango ($3), I feel for the price it is super worth it. The mango is not sweet, also the coconut milk, but with the sticky rice, they became a perfect pair. I actually never tried it before, but this one quite make a standard for me.

- Thai Iced Lemongrass ($3) was just so so for me. The taste of lemongrass is not really strong, hmm. Idk if I’m going to purchase again or not. Better try the iced tea

❤️ the Kopi here. Althou slightly on the sweet side, it was milky and got good Kopi taste. Not at all acidic. They used a hand blender to mix it. I think that’s the secret to exceptional Kopi.

Egg Prata still as good but the curry gravy bowl had shrunk dramatically. I had to go back to ask for refill, which was done with no complaints. I guess this reduced wastage. Curry was very good. Flavorful and very spicy.

Creamy mushroom base topped with crispy tender chicken chop, soft toast and lusciously soft scrambled eggs is just perfect😍 Together with the moderately sweet drink, it was a satisfying and FULLfilling lunch. (Didn’t had dinner that very day🤣)

Choice of vermicelli or flat noodles for pad thai. Simple traditional dish, can’t go wrong with pad Thai. Nothing special except the portion is huge — very worth for the low price of $6. Queues are insanely long during peak hours so best to go before dinner crowd.
