With the cheapest bowl of noodles being $6 we opted to share a Medium sized bowl. The medium size came with 3 prawns and 3 ribs. The soup was thin but rich and flavourful. We enjoyed the meal but aren’t sure if it’s worth the travel and the price.
Prawn cracker, youtiao, yam roll. Excellent execution. Auntie, can give more sauce or not?
The noodles and the soup were good. The three "mains" were kinda average.
The broth sweet and flavourful , the Prawn de shell, fresh and quite big.
This time I choose thick bee Hoon, toasted in their homemade chilli sauce.
💰$8.5 for each prawn noodle.
Customer can top up soup by pay $1, and don’t forget to order the ngoh hiang for next coffeeshop

Heard of this place and decided to give it a shot. Ordered pork ribs big prawns noodle at $7. There wasn’t much people around (unlike the place opposite) so food queue was fast.
2 ribs and 2 prawns. The ribs were hard and chewy, I think the ntuc frozen ones are better really. Soup is very normal, nothing special and overrated. Can try if you’re around the area but don’t need to purposely come down. PS: If you driving can park along the perimeter of the area else can park at The Venue.
Their broth is cooked for more than 8 hours, infused with the collagen benefits from the pork bones as well as the sweetness from the Prawns.

Pork ribs was pretty good, q unique, meaty, and tender
Pigtail was delicious as well, it's got the texture of pork ribs(meaty as well) surprisingly, with a tad more gelatin. One of the most unique pigtail I've had in terms of texture, honestly if you close your eyes you won't be able to tell that it isn't pork ribs or sth
Prawns were not v impressive, esp since they were small prawns despite this bowl costing so much instead of the large prawns
Pig small intestines were not v impressive either. There's some stench
Lastly, the worst were the pork slices(switched for baby abalone, definitely stick w that). It's tough like cardboard, and tasteless too. One of the worst decisions I've made wrt food. Can't emphasise this enough, don't get the pork slices here
Soup was good, gotta give credit where credit is due. But only good, not great, not even significantly better than most
Noodles were disappointing too, it's a wet and sad sauce, no umami and yet contains heat. Sigh.
If you get the pork ribs, pigtail in soup, that's probably a good meal. But this was just sad otherwise, no idea why they command a queue. Apart from those items I probably won't even come if I'm staying in the area, much less travel an hour for this bowl
Have long heard how highly raved this was but I was disappointed when I ordered in as delivery. Perhaps it was the delivery that affected the taste, but the noodle was clumped together and the prawn broth, which I felt was the most important component of prawn noodles, were not as flavourful as I’d like that to be. Prawns were a tad overcooked but nothing too consequential!
The pork on the other hand though, was really tender and done well! Would probably make my way down one more time to have it there and see if there’s a difference!
Huge stall just selling prawn noodles!! with many choices of pork parts - ribs, intestines etc
Rich broth & sweet prawns but the chilli was a miss for me. Overall a yummy meal still
Prawn Noodle with Soup on a rainy day
One stall, endless varieties. You can have yours with lean sliced pork, pork ribs, pork inerts, even prawns whole or sliced.
Pair those ingredients with your favourite type of noodles, and finally, choice of having your bowl of noodles soup or dry. Their broth has a frontal sweetness of roasted prawn shells, depth of pork bones, no doubt long hours of brewing, but mostly definitely also plenty of MSG. Dry versions come tossed in a saucy sweet chilli mixture that almost has a tomato sambal feel to it.
Need more heat? Feel free to dump in the gunpowder chilli powder (usually available on the tables within the coffee shop).
Famous Lao Zhong Zhong Ngoh Hiang is also available for takeaway from the coffee shop just across the street!
