Now you can have the best of both worlds for days you feel like having shellfish or meals that you want to enjoy with beef. Several of the beef versions of the jjamppong include the Beef Ro Ppong ($18.90), Beef Cha Ppong ($15.90), Beef Keu Ppong ($15.90) and Beef II Ppong ($15.90). Out of the four, I tried the Beef Ro Ppong which comes with wheat noodles in a tomato and cream sauce base topped with bulgogi beef and lots of mozzarella cheese for the cheesy pull. Very hearty and rich, you will be utterly satisfied and full by the end of the meal! If you are not feeling for noodles that day, there is also the Spicy Keu Beef Risotto ($18.90) of arborio rice that is cooked with a cream sauce and served with bulgogi beef, spinach and chilli oil.

really creamy & cheeesy!!! 🧀🤤 would say its worth a try if u are craving for the popular rosé pasta😋 very flavourful but i can imagine how it can get a lil overbearing after eating half a bowl! 😬 very mild spicy so great for those with lower spice tolerance!😛

the cha ppong was quite disappointing for me in my opinion! despite having the wok hey taste in the broth, it was too much for a bowl of jjamppong 😳 got a spicy level 2 (highest lvl) and it wasn’t as spicy as i thought it would be hahahah but that’s because i’ve tried spicier jjamppongs. however, definitely a comfortable kick!!!😛🌶 noodles were great though — super springy & chewy!!!🥰

Had been eating at places that I would not have expected to eat at pretty recently — times where I am not the one picking where to eat; but it’s really all for the better considering I don’t need to make the decision and just go by other’s cravings, which certainly is a decent break for my mind.

The Vongole Ppong is one of the dishes I have had at Nipong Naepong when they had first opened their doors at JEM — one of the fusion Ppongs offered here that are less heavy on the palate considering how most of them carries creamy or cheese components. Described in the menu as an item that is “cooked with briny clams, white wine and fragrant garlic”, the item also features mussels — a nice, premium addition that helps to give it an additional edge from being just a vongole-inspired dish. Slurping on the chewy noodles, one could most certain taste the slight briny notes in the broth; while the white wine does give it a slight boozy and spicy kick amidst the garlicky flavours, it seems that much of the “spiciness” is pretty much powered by pepper that further enhances those notes — not something I am totally for but fair enough given how Nipong Naepong is more of an establishment for the mass market. Otherwise the seafood are actually relatively fresh and plump; nothing much to complain about even despite having to wait in line for a table during dinner hours on a weekend (well, pretty much every else in Somerset/Orchard on a weekend night). A decent eat for those looking for a convenient Korean-fusion spot in the heart of town.

Got the sweet potato pizza for takeaway. Not sure if it didn't taste as good because we did takeaway so the pizza wasnt fresh out of the oven, but sweet potato puree was little and I cld barely taste any sweet potato taste. The pizza just tasted salty because of the cheese. The whip cream that came with it helped to provide some sweet taste but overall kinda disappointed.

Verdict: Maybe it wld taste better if you eat at the restaurant, but for the price tag... nah probably won't get again.

The spicy really packs a punch but the cheese helps with it. Rice ball and sides were decent.
