When I provided quotes for a Lianhe Zaobao article when the café first launched (I was profiled as a "fan"), I had expressed my reservations about the viability of character cafés in Singapore, but it still packs a sad punch when the fears become reality.

You've seen my very cute Pompompurin Winter Latte a few posts back. Now its time for more.
The Pompompurin Omelette Rice (SGD$15.99) was composed of yellow rice shaped like Purin, with an omelette, chicken stew and vegetables. Gravy was slightly tarty, should be tomato based - but overall taste was decent despite its eye-catching presentation.
Tried to hangout at this cute cafe, grab a cup of latte and dessert during rainy day. Feel just perfect..
Nope, I'm never going back there again. The decoration of the cafe was quite cute though.. But it's kind of small. The curry was added coconut milk, and it taste really like Thai green curry (a not quite nice kind). The fried chicken was so so. Rice isn't fragrant. It's just for photo taking...
Heard alot of bad reveiws..but pasta was surprisingly gd..portion might nt be suffcient for a big eater though!! Haha...overall the cuteness overload at this cafe.

The curry wasn't spicy and tasted more like coconut curry than the Japanese curry. There was a lot of rice though, but too cute to complain!
Dessert after dinner after catching "The First Monday in May" from this year's Design Film Festival. As with many whims of mine, I just wanted to give this a try because it's so cute! So against my friend's blatant protests, I pretty much dragged us into this restaurant and got myself this picture. The Bagel’s Special Pancake Tower (S$21.99) really looks prettier than it tastes, but the Pompompurin mini mug is for keeps, so... we'll make do at least for this once 😉 Roo's looks happy too!
(PS: Braveheart stayed home today, so he didn't partake in this!! 😜)
As usual, don’t expect much from theme cafes whereby the main focus is on the presentation of food instead of taste. Average pancakes taste... nothing special...
Mexican Japanese fusion dish in the shape of the cute cartoon character. Love the taco ingredients and the nachos. But the rice don't seem to go well with everything else.
Brought the niece and nephew and they enjoyed it. Even my mommy 😊
Had their Coconut Milk Curry Chicken (pictured above), Carbonara and Beef Stroganoff. They all tasted pretty nice.
We Q about 30-40 minute to enter cafe ,and yes I understand that theme cafe usually focus on the decoration rather the taste of the food ,we ordering the taco rice which included pompom rice ,minced meat ,tomatoes avacato Egg and taco .The overall taste is better than expected .overall rating :3/5
Cafe's decor is super cute to the max, alot of efforts placed on the plating of each dish ordered. For an experience, its definitely worth the price, however its rather costly for the one time experience. Nonetheless, worth it!
One of the cheaper dessert options, I am Purin 🎵 Pompompurin Pudding - yes, there's an actual 🎵 in the name - comes with stickingly sweet caramel syrup and chocolate covered biscuit beret. #purinception. Best to share with a friend as it's on the dense side. Full review at http://ow.ly/etvi300GjSm
Finally got round to trying the highly popular Pompompurin Cafe at Orchard Central! The Taco Rice dish certainly stands out from the rest, with Purin shaped rice peeking out of the cup. Mushroom & Bacon Carbonara ($26.99)
Creamy carbonara spaghetti with an assortment of mushrooms and bacon. Enjoy the French baguette with salsa dip.

The pasta was quite dry, while the salsa was spicy. The only great thing about this dish was that you would be getting a new character mug to take home with.
