Duotou clams absolutely devine, will return with whole family

A refreshing chilled starter that we enjoyed, though definitely on the pricey end. Seaweed had a slightly crunchy texture, unlike how they are usually more soft in soups.

Got this along our 1 for 1 mains with Burpple Beyond - super worth it!

Used the burpple deal to get 1 medium lor mee and 1 medium spinach - generous portions 👍👍 easily enough for 3 adults or 2 fat gluttons 🙊🙊
Paid about $26 all in

You can’t say you tried Putien if you haven’t tried their famous Lor Mee...😄
I won’t say it’s mind-blowingly good but it’s just so comforting to slurp down the springy noodles and tasty broth😋.

Loved this. Should have ordered the bigger portion. Bee Hoon could not have been tastier, though the seafood could have been better marinated.

Burpple one for one was great! If not for burpple, would honestly not have tried.

The restaurant has a time limit on their seating, so many servers were hovering and clearing the plates quickly. Unfortunately we were kinda getting chased to order and leave asap even though there were only one or two set of diners waiting and a whole restaurant of seats.

We went on a Friday evening at 630pm and they had run out of a number of dishes. !?!

This is their signature Michelin star winning dish (in Kitchener though). Was decent and enjoyable! Wouldn’t be my fav among the staples but enjoyable nonetheless.

This was so enjoyable! Sweet and crispy in the outside, soft on the inside and not overly sweet. My friend who is picky and has never eaten yam tried this and fell in love with it! Should be a best seller!

Unfortunately this was a terrible dish. The luffa used was old and super fibrous, slimy. I love luffa so this was a horrible experiences s I had previously heard good things about their luffa dish from my other friends.

Saw @that_dex’s heads-up about this amazing new deal - PUTIEN’s on Burpple Beyond, with 1 for 1s for their mains, vegetables and beancurd! It was then an easy choice for our family lunch today - side note, only realised recently that my family & I have never had PUTIEN before, and I’m really not sure why 😂 Tried a few items and our favourites were this Heng Hwa Bee Hoon with its generous bits of haebi and scallop, the slightly tangy Seaweed and Mini Shrimps starter and the seasonal Crispy Oyster. Didn’t have anymore stomach space to try the stir fried yam but will definitely be back very soon! This bee hoon is $10.90 for small, $32.70 for large.

The wanton wrapper is made from pork meat. It’s very thin, something unique that I haven’t tried before! The wantons and soup are flavourful. It’s a small bowl, so it’s a good appetiser.

I love putien’s xinghua beehoon! The noodles are thin and not clumpy, with a great fluffy texture. It’s a flavourful and delicious dish, a must-order when we visit. The crunchy peanuts and seaweed topping are nice additions.

They are low in sugar and has no preservatives or additives. It should be best consumed within 3 days. They are available in two flavours: Yam and Purple Sweet Potato (with/without single salted egg yolk). The fillings are made using Thailand’s Premium Taro and Japan’s First Grade Purple Sweet Potato. The mooncake crust is made from a mixture of two dough types – one rolled with corn oil and the other with a vegetable shortening. They are wrapped and deep fried to the desired crust finish.

I love the delicate crust! It is so light and super flaky! Simply just melt in the mouth. Not forgetting the main highlight! The Filling! They are smooth and most importantly not overly sweet. It is just right for my family and I! Do remember to keep in the fridge and warm it up before eating.

Fried Heng Hwa Bee Hoon - (S) - $9.50
·
This savoury dish is one of my favourite item there. Not a big portion, but the flavour is entangling, making me it finish it in no time. The angel hair like bee hoon is so thin yet slightly springy, paired with fresh seafood and greens for extra crunch. Eat this traditional Fujian cuisine with Putien homemade chilli, which is really spicy but shiok shiok. It’s sweet sour spicy all at once, so go easy on it. If you prefer something soupy, their Lor Mee is a great dish, and quite a hearty portion too

Located in many locations. Prosperity Yu Sheng (Small, $28.80++). It was served in a Super big portion even though we ordered a small size.. Colorful, thin shredded ingredients with their own special seaweed! Another tasty Yu Sheng we had before CNY officially end this Friday. Which are your favourite places for Yu Sheng, do share with us! @putien_sg #hungryunicornsg #putien #putiensg #yusheng2018 #yusheng

Generous servings of abalone and all them Chinese goodies. The sea cucumber was not overly tough and the sauce (not salty) would've complemented with rice really well

This is our canteen for a simple and easy meal. The usual orders will always include this roast chicken that is topped with crispy garlic bits and the chicken itself is still so juicy and tender.

Not to be missed:
Lor Mee/ Bee Hoon
Spinach with superior stock and 3 types of egg
Bian Rou Soup
Tengiri Fish
Homemade Tofu
Lychee Sweet and Sour Pork

Pork isn't too fattening, it doesn't have the oily bits that the 3-layer pork usually has.

Hengwa Bee Hoon ($9.50)

@Putien_sg is one of my favourite restaurants for comfort food and it's not difficult to understand why. This signature hengwa bee hoon features sundried beehoon that is infused with soy milk! You won't find overpowering wok-hei but their fried bee hoon is instead full of umami because they love using clams to flavour their dishes. I note however though that their prices have been steadily on the rise over the years. Let's hope they still keep their pricing friendly on the wallet!

Putien Bian Rou Soup ($13.90)

A newer item on @Putien_sg 's menu, this Fujianese dish is made of mini minced pork which has been continuously pounded on for 3 hours before being wrapped into mini wontons and simmered in vinegary soup. I've never bothered to count the number of wontons because there are just too many but know that those wontons are so yummy! This dish may not be to everyone's liking because of that sourish taste from the vinegar but definitely works well for me.
