At first planned to have high tea which was printed on its website available 11.30am - 5pm during Saturday and Sunday online but was told only available 2.30pm - 5pm. I could overhear a staff who rudely answered as if I’m crazy asking for this.
Tables were unmade. Order through app at 12noon, side only served at 12.20pm with the fried rice finally served at 12.50pm. Service was terribly slow. The other tables wasn’t served except 2 tables which were only served kids meals. In between the meal was served Meaty Cutlet by mistake and had to get the staff to take it back.

Pasteis De Bacalhau (S$19.30++)
Portuguese savoury salted cod fish cakes

Keluak Fried Rice with Egg (S$14.20++)
Rice stir-fried with Keluak paste and prawns. Served with fried egg. Didn’t have the sambal belachan stated on the menu.

Eurasian Dessert Platter (S$21.60++)
Breudher cake - Dutch influenced butter cake made with Toddy
Putugal - Steamed rice cakes made with tapioca, shredded coconut, pisang rajah, butterfly pea flower and Pandan extract
Mini Sugee cake - made with butter, almonds and semolina flour, topped with marzipan, royal icing and toasted almonds

Accompanied with complimentary ice water and fish crackers.

4⭐ Quentin has 2 outlets, one at the Eurasian Community House in Joo Chiat and the other one at Sentosa. Since we are travelling to the East, I decide to try out Quentin as I have never ate Eurasian cusine before.
Keropok was served while we are waiting for the main dishes. There's 2 type of chili sauce served, sambal chili is more spicy while the other chili is more mild. We can either order meat or seafood dish to utilise the Burpple Beyond 1 for 1 deal. We had Currry Debal Chicken, Prawn Bostador and a small steam rice which serves 1 - 2pax.
There's a choice of chicken or oxtail for curry debal and we chose chicken with regular spicy level. This dish is also called Devil Curry bcos it looks fiercely hot and spicy. It's no kick for WB as he has high tolerance level for spicy food but my tounge are feeling slightly numb. For the prawn bostador, it resemble the lontong dish at first glance as it's also yellow in colour but the taste is not the same. The spicy level is mild and the prawn are fresh and crunchy.

Great flavour, good service and value for money with burpple 1-for-1.

I found out about @quentinssg years ago when I was searching for an Eurasian restaurant in Singapore, and was blown away by how (surprisingly) tasty the food was. I distinctly remember having their Oxtail Stew for the first time back then and loving it so much, and I’m pleased to report that it’s still as good as ever 🤪

I tried out the Prawn Bostador ($20.80) as well. With fresh plump prawns swimming in a coconut-based gravy, it kind of reminded me of our local laksa (without the spice). Also another yummy dish!

Anyway, they’re now on @burpple with 1-1 deals and it’s so ridiculously affordable 😬 Definitely recommend heading down if you’re looking to try out a unique cuisine in Singapore.
