More Reviews of good food at Soek Seng 1954 Bicycle Cafe

After more than a year of not being able to fly, chilling at a cool bicycle themed cafe next to Seletar Airport with views of private planes taking off was more than nostalgic therapy for me. The Ondeh Ondeh Cake and Layered Rainbow Cake was passable. Coffee was okay.

I’ll come back to try their hot dishes on of these days.

Lamb chops were quite tough and unfortunately tasted very mediocre. There wasn’t much of it anyway. Fries were rather tasteless, and the spaghetti ?salad on the side was entirely tasteless. I’m not sure what I paid $17.80 for.

Would not recommend their western dishes, definitely not worth the price at all even if there’s no GST here. Go for their Asian dishes instead, it’s cheaper and better.

Location is a little out of the way but the view from the cafe is great, you get a clear view of planes. Ambience was nice as well, the inside of the cafe was bicycle themed. Worth a visit just to take a look at the place (not for the food).

The piece of chicken was really small in the burger. :( Fries were rather tasteless, and the potato chips on the side was of a tiny serving as well, maybe consisting of approximately 8 pieces only.

A standard unatama don, we enjoyed it. Worth for its price, considering that there’s no GST (or that the prices had already included GST).

Quite pricey for 5 skinny sticks of yakitori, but at least they were good. And there isn’t GST at this place so that’s great.

Tried the hot stone katsu don but find it too salty foe me. But the ambience and view outside the cafe was good!

Good location for plane watching. The food are affordable and decent. Would visit again!

Affordable food! Gyu don was below $10, and though I would prefer my beef to be medium rare, I couldn't complain as it was value for money. The Ayam Panggang had a generous portion for it's price point at slightly over $10. The Earl grey cheesecake was also a delight, if you like light and creamy cheesecake.

The place had a really nice ambience. Would recommend to catch the sunset and watch the planes fly while dining in. The cafe had a rustic look with bicycles and bicycle parts mounted on the wall.

Amazing that you can get a decent meal at such affordable rates in a cafe and nice to know that the prices are all nett. Pretty decent and filling meal. Love that it is served in a hot stone so the rice get a little charred at the bottom which gives it a good crunch.

Eclectic Cafe with retro music and crowd.. unagi don came in a stone pot and it was tasty enough, with the price totally worth it

Order their lunch menu and serving is big. Didn’t enjoy their beef kebab. Ayam panggang and unagi hotstone are better options especially with the lunch promotion. Excellent hideout.

I’m guessing the bowl helps retain heat and keep the dish warm. Love the ambience of this place- its eclectic collection of bicycles and how it overlooks Seletar Airport runway.

$10.80. My hub says the rice no taste. Meat is ok. Pappadum is yummy! Lol

$6 for 5 pieces. The sauce seems to be Chili oil. Not very nice to dip in. The dumpling itself is ok. Like those frozen and deep fried kind.

$7.80. Served in a hot stone pot which keep the food warm. Good for kids who take their time to eat. Overall taste is not bad. The rice mix is a little dry.

A interesting cafe in a secluded part of Singapore just beside the Seletar airport. You can watch planes take off from the cafe. Cheesecake was nice and light. Iced chocolate was not too sweet which I really liked

The chicken was cooked well and all the ingredients went together nicely but I found it a bit too salty at some parts
⚠️ This quaint cafe is perfect for hipster vintage shots, or to just get away from the hustle & bustle of the city. Located near the Seletar Airport, one can watch private airplanes take flight while enjoying their meal

Juicy chicken steak that goes well with the brown mushroom sauce. However, the chicken chop was served warm and French fries was rather cold, perhaps due to influx of crowd that resulted in drop of quality of food.

Price: Chicken Chop ($10.80)
(No GST & Service Charge)

Interesting rainbow cheese cake. You can still taste the cheese and not the colouring. A bit on the pricy side. $8 and no additional Gst or service charge.
